I wear the Vibram Five Fingers Sprint minimalist shoes when doing HIIT classes at the gym, which include using free weights. I also wear them hiking. Love 'em!

Bump! Is anyone using Kim Wendler's methods? http://www.t-nation.com/free_online_article/sports_body_training_performance/how_to_build_pure_strength I have not started yet, but I have a friend who follows these methods and has gotten great results!

I'm down! I use "Pocket Yoga" and "Daily Yoga" on my phone.

This is inspiring, thank you for sharing your experience! And congrats on your achievement!

I have the FitBit Ultra and I love it, and the website is very easy to use. It syncs with MFP too. I attach it at my waist. I have not used the Flex though. I am more interested in the Fitbit One if the Ultra dies. For me, it seems that wearing it at the wrist would record inaccuracies. I don't know anything about the…

Do you remember what an M&M and a Kiss taste like? Sometimes the experience is all you want. Try envisioning every moment of enjoying an M&M. Is that satisfying enough? If not, it may not matter what you are eating, it may be for pleasure of eating, or it may be a worthwhile distraction from something stressing you out or…

I will say, I am not a runner. I use the Vibram Five Fingers Sprints for Zumba and other training. I also wear them while hiking. I prefer these shoes over anything else however they did take some getting used to. I remember being very sore in my legs and feet after wearing them a couple hours hiking for the first time. I…

I have one on the back of my wrist, dead center. I play bass guitar and I work in a bakery, which makes it tender and sore. I have to be careful doing certain yoga positions and push ups are out. I saw that someone suggested no "flat-palm" push ups. Has anyone had success using the raised bars that stand on the floor? Like…

Wow!! Congrats, I can see results! I want to try Insanity but it looks like you have to build up to it. In your experience, is this something you dove into? If not, what kind of workouts had you done before choosing Insanity?

I am all about the Phone fitness apps! I have tried many, but here are the ones I go to the most: FREE APPS: "MFP" "Skimble" Any or all of the "Daily Butt/Leg/Abs/Arms/Cardio/Ball Workout " "Pocket Yoga" "Instant Heart Rate Free" (just for measuring heart rate, no exercises) "Fitbit" (I have one so this works for me) "Nike…

I will note, Apple Bottom jeans are the most comfortable and flattering jeans I have found, and Fashion Bug jeans have been a close 2nd (plus size). Because I am big on top and have broad shoulders I have found tank tops with a wide shoulder band and tops with long short-sleeves and large-ish necks to be most flattering.

I'm 5'4" 41, 35, 46 I have lost an inch off my waist and hips since I started MFP! no specific goal, I'd like to get down to size 12 though (currently 16-18). I love my shape, but it is hard to find clothes that flatter the hourglass, sometimes I look like I'm all boobs. Any suggestions?

Haha, me too! Except I lift boxes of frozen dough in a bakery, not weights in a gym. But now is my time to step it up! Great job, an inspiration!!

1. Ballet Workout book, which gave me a structured workout I could stick to. 2. Heart Rate Monitor 3. FitBit Ultra! love it! Of course, MFP started it all :)

I've never had a gym membership, I prefer to work out at home. I like the book Ballet Workout and I use an Android App called "Perfect Body" which has 4 workouts that target specific muscle groups: 1) abs; 2) butt; 3) hips; 4) legs. I also use a FitBit and a heart rate monitor as a standard measure of how hard I'm working,…

This is wonderful, thanks!!

I just started following the NYC Ballet Workout book about a month ago and I love it. It extremely well written, which limits the chance of misinterpretation and potential injury. The photographs are beautiful as well. I also like Ballecore by Molly Weeks which I have just picked up. However, I hesitate to try some of the…
