Ditto. I've started and stopped multiple times. Somehow this time feels different - more purposeful I guess. Would love more friends in the same spot!

I've had the flex for a couple of years, and just got the alta for Christmas. For me, it's worth it. The reminders to get up and move are nice, as some days my job has me tied to a desk. And I can be slightly competitive with myself. I'll get up out of bed at 11 pm to walk around my house, if I'm only short 100 steps to…

I don't feel I've been here enough to answer most of your questions, but I do agree with the others have said. I will second the thumbs up on the jawbone up too. But also clarify. There are two jawbone bracelets, the up and the up24. Both do the same, but the up ($80) has to be physically plugged into your phone to sync,…

I do manual changes, which does require a bit of attention (and, yes, I still have to have notes to remember when to change! ) Here's my breakdown: 0-7 mins - build up to speed (warm-up) 7-10 mins - at "regular" speed - i walk, so this is 4 mph for me 10-13 mins - speed increase - about 4.2/4.3 mph for me 13 -16 min -…

I have PVCs as well. I also have leaky mitral and pulmonary valves, a murmur and an aortic aneurysm (Mine are a result of being born with ToF). Talk to your dr if you are super concerned, and (s)he can give you an appropriate range as a goal. Meanwhile, do moderate work. If you start to feel ANY chest pain/dizziness/nausea…

I was always told to look at each pound as the equivalent of a package (box) of butter. So, for each pound lost, you've shed 4 sticks of butter. Weird, but it puts it into perspective. Congrats OP on losing 100 sticks of butter! Others will notice eventually. As long as you notice and see the effort, that's what counts.

I wish I did! We always had a big garden when I was growing up, and I remember the veggies and fruits making the tastiest food. Currently though, we're renters, so no digging up the yard for a garden. Though I may try some container gardening at some point. If I can keep one dog from eating everything, and the other from…

I bake a lot, and was getting interested in learning some cake decorating techniques. But I really need to lay off of it for a while, because baked goods are my weakness!
