It takes 3500 calories over/under normal base line caloric intake to gain/lose ONE pound. Today just means it will take a few more days to lose that pound. Don't beat your self up, just be more disciplined in the future.:)

Depends on the workout. If you worked the muscle group till exhaustion, then 3 days rest is needed. A good workout for 4 days a week might me Chest/Shoulders/Triceps Mon./Thurs. and Back/legs/Biceps Tues./Fri. For most calories counting sites they report GROSS Calories. If you want to be accurate, NET calories should be counted. For example, I’m 6’2”, weigh 240 and my Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR-rate burned if lied in bed sleeping for 24 hours) is about 2300 calories burned. I work in an office (some call this sedentary…
