  • This topic was supposed to be for me, so I can motivate myself to limit sugar... I'm starting to really regret I've written this post. From now on, this topic belongs to you. I started it, but I refuse to explain myself over and over my motives. If I'd known how to write a blog, I would have done it. Unfortunately, I'm not…
  • Where did I say it's dangerous for everyone? I kept saying over and over that it's dangerous for ME! I never included anyone! Jesus, people... pay attention! Why is everyone so worked up over sugar? It's a flavour ingredient. Big quantities is bad for anyone and I want to limit it for MYSELF ONLY! If you wanna eat sugar,…
  • Sorry, guys... I don't mean to be rude, but you're all so far off this topic. This is a PERSONAL decision, so why are you all up my business with so many theories and so on? I'm limiting sugar, not giving it up. By sugar I mean added sugar. I don't think it's good for me, so I'm gonna try to eat less of it. ADDED SUGAR,…

  • I'm l i m i t i n g sugar, not avoiding it or cutting it out completely. Why is it so hard to understand? I drink coffee with or without stevia or agave syrup. I choose full fat rather than skim or low fat because it has less sugar, but I don't have a large pint of full fat milk or yogurt, just a small cup.…
  • Good advice. Been there. Done that. Still doing that. What works for you, may not work for someone else. It sometimes works for me, but not all the time. If I need cake, I'll reach for carrots. They are great! Both sweet and crunchy.
  • I guess everyone has their wisdom and they want to make a point? The thing is that you can't just tell a person to do this and do that and then.. BOOM! You're all good and able to eat whatever you like. I've been documenting myself a lot for the past 2 years from all points of view. They're all plausible and applicable.…
  • I'm not cutting out sugar completely. Sugar is in everything! It's in fruit, veggies... I'm not sure about meat, though. Limiting the processed/added sugar is my goal.
  • According to my body. Diabetes runs in the family and last time I was at a nutritionist, I was quite close to the limit towards diabetes. I am overweight by 3 pounds for my height, which I am working on shedding. I've never been overweight for more than 8 pounds in my life, so I am trying my best to have a healthy weight.…
  • As in avoiding high calorie foods with added sugar. Fruits are sweet enough for my sweet tooth! Bake an apple with some ground cinnamon on top and it's a really delicious feast! I will never encourage anyone to give up fruit... Even if it's high in fructose, it's also high in fiber and plenty of vitamins. BAKLAVA?? ON MY…
  • Because I enjoy walking. Haha. I have a lot of free time since I'm a student, so I'm usually out with a friend walking everywhere in town. It's a very enjoyable way to be active. PS: I am on summer vacation at home.
  • No wonder I wasn't losing any weight. Haha! Thank you very much for clearing that out for me. Starting tomorrow, I'm re-updating my profile.
  • Oh! Okay. So, if I put active, do I still have to log my exercises?
  • Wow! I didn't think so many people would reply to this thread! Thank you so much for taking the time to post. I really appreciate it! I feel more confident about my choices. I'm not rushing to lose weight, so I won't mind if it takes a whole year to reach my goal. As long as I'm losing fat and inches, I'll be happy. Yup!…
  • Yes, I am. I'm hoping counting calories will help. I've never tried it before, so I'm a little skeptical. I've become a little paranoid because of all of the diet books and weightloss articles I've read claiming that "counting calories" is not effective and to eat that and not that... I guess I just need a few pieces of…
  • Please realise that the reason you are "fat" is because of the many advertisements on the so called "food" everywhere you go. Fast foods and junk foods are found everywhere. They're just empty calories that happen to "taste good" because of the enormous amounts of salt, sugar and other flavors. Why is that? Because money.…
  • Thank you very much for your reply! My family isn't very supportive and nor are my friends. I really needed to hear that from someone right now...
  • Hello? :( Please help. I'm having a really bad time with eating at the moment.
  • Make soup! Soup is both filling and quite healthy too.
  • Coffee with 1,5% milk and two tablespoons of oat bran. Delicious and filling~!
  • Congratulations! I hope you will achieve your goals! Try your best to eat homemade food that you will cook FROM SCRATCH whether it is a proper meal, or a desert. You'll be able to track your ingredients that way. It WILL come out more expensive which will sort of force you to indulge rarer and also make you appreciate food…
  • I'm 5'1, I think. 154 cm! (Yay! Metric system!) I'm 57 kg, so I'm /technically/ at a healthy weight. I look pretty chubby though, so that's something I need to work on. Short people = fun sized
  • I'm not a fan of jelly. :( I'll try it, though. Who knows? It might help. Thanks for the suggestion!
