You maybe take 30 minutes to run 5k? How about challenging yourself to do it one minute faster each week? My nephew is aiming at sub 20 mins by August. Of course he is only 21...

Hi, Bett, I'm Isabel, I live in the UK. I'm keen on healthy eating and try to avoid anything that's not homemade or has salt in it. I make my own bread without any salt, and we eat lots of fruit & veg, grains, lentils, fish and poultry. Wholefoods taste best anyway! Do add me if you would like, my diary is open. I also…

Hi, do add me if you wish, I'm in Sussex and have around 12 lbs to lose. We always try to eat healthy, home-cooked food at home, made from fresh ingredients, not factory food, and certainly no ready meals. No supplements, protein shakes or cereal bars, either as I am confident that we get everything from our diet. The main…

Hi, I am from the South-East and am trying to lose 10 lbs more to get my BP down a little. I would love to have some friends from the UK to encourage me.

Interesting question. I think that in general we taik about half stones, e.g. it's very common to hear people say 'I need to lose half a stone', or 'I put on half a stone over Christmas' - so yes I think that we do round up or down at least to the nearest half stone - which makes the odd pound either way less critical.

Hi, a stone is 14 lbs, don't ask me why, but that is how we count over here! I want to deal with the weight NOW, well before it gets out of my control.

Thank you Tam, I hope that the cakes in China aren't as addictive as they are here!
