Thanks everyone for your opinions. I have done it both ways in the past. I found though that I can do much more intense workouts if I know I am only doing 10-15 minutes. I also feel like if you broke it up it would help to keep your metabolism up throughout the whole day. Just my opinion but I really like hearing what you…

I am almost 5 months out from my TT, hernia fix and muscle repair. I had some complications but it was all well worth it!!
-
definitely isn't pain free but it wasn't too bad.

yes!

Thanks I love hearing things like that because I already feel so good!

I am a stay at home mom and watch kids occasionally in my house. My mom and husband each took a week off work to stay with me. Then I slowly started back to my old habits. I really didn't feel like I could do a lot until about 4 weeks though. Official recovery is 8 weeks. I am not allowed to push/pull/lift more then 10 lbs…

No the scare doesn't hurt. I am mostly numb which I am used to because after my 2 c-sections I have been numb on my belly. it is a little sensitive on the ends but nothing real significant. I have been coughing and sneezing for about 3 weeks because of a cold so I understand what your SIL means but it does get better. Yes…

He took 7lbs off my, I got to the see the pictures of what he took off. NASTY!! My doctor was very surprised actually he thought it would only be 3-4lbs.

As far as I know yes full TT have that large of an incision. I measured mine and it is 24 inches long. That is more then half my body, pretty crazy but i dont mind the scar.

I know it is hard now only a week out but like I said, IT GETS BETTER! you will be so happy!!
-
ok readjusted the size of pictures so you can actually see them, sorry!!

I have to say it is good to know that you had a pregnancy after the TT and still have great results. My husband went back and forth over and over again about more children because I didn't want to have any after the surgery. In the end we decided that having had 2 healthy beautiful girls was enough for us. That's why I had…

My doctor usually does it as a day surgery as well. Because it was covered under the insurance though he wanted to keep me over night and thank goodness he did because of the complications that I had. In my opinion and recommendation STAY OVER NIGHT! I really think it gives you piece of mind and you have trained…

No offense taken! I welcome all questions and comments. I actually don't know how much the surgery cost because I didn't have to pay for it. I have not received any statements yet either. Because of my "medically necessary" reasons it was covered by insurance! I am very lucky my doctor says that they are usually NEVER…

Great job, you are looking fabulous. Keep up the good work!

Thank you for the support! I was really nervous that people would be negative about the whole "plastic surgery" thing. I know there are a lot of people out there that are in the same boat that I was before the surgery and they are too embarrassed or nervous to talk about it. I am hear if anyone has specific questions or…

oh my those pictures are a lot bigger then I expected them to be. Yikes that is scary looking at myself like that, lol. The lines on my stomach in the front view of the post op picture is from the "binder" that I have to wear for 6-8 weeks to help hold my stomach in as I recover and control the swelling. it is pretty much…

Yeah I feel like that all the time! I have bad days weeks and months sometimes! BUT I always find myself getting back on the band wagon again. I have lost 70lbs and it feels amazing. Make small goals and try not to focus to much on the big picture it can get overwhelming. The people on here are great for support and…

I love yoga! You will be surprised how sore and hard it really is. You really have to focus on your form and doing the poses correctly. It is great for strengthening!

Thais for the info I will check it out!

My all time favorite time of year. A long with the cozier weather comes the yummy food which I can never say no to. I always plan on gaining 10 lbs during fall/winter
-
Yes that is always yummy, so is using a can of root beer!
-
Oh my husband would be horrified to see beer used for anything other then drinking, well unless it was the cheap stuff.

Welcome to MFP this is a great site. Sounds like you are off the great start! Good luck with your goals and if please feel free to add me. We can all use a little more support! MJ

Wow thanks for all the replies!! I see a lot of you guys suggest flavored ones. The only reason I am doing the plain is for the less calories and less sugar because stevia adds nothing and has no glycemic index. This is all great info though! Who knew yogurt was such a hit!!

Don't worry you're not alone. I usually gain as well but as soon as you're done and you stick to your eating and exercise you will drop those lbs really fast!! Best not to look at the scale during that time ;-)
