I have to also agree with the coffee suggestions. I always have my morning cup and go pretty shortly after that! If you're not a regular coffee drinker than it will work even better. Like - stay close to a bathroom. :) Also, some fruit juices.

Drink LOTS of water! Also, I take Magnesium daily and it does a great job of keeping me regular (and soft, if you KWIM). Dr. Oz tip - if you're taking a daily vitamin that includes calcium or you're drinking lots of milk etc - make sure you're taking in at least double the amount of magnesium than you are calcium. :) Also,…

That's one of those things that I'm not sure has very much fact behind it. I'm not sure if it's ever been proven that eating close to bedtime is bad. I actually just read something recently that said that it's a myth, that it didn't matter what time of day you ate... Interested to see what others say - and if they have…

You look fabulous! More motivation to fuel my fire! Congrats! Job well done!

I would like to bump this post. I think I'm in a similar boat. My belly is my biggest problem area.
-
Thank you for a nice post to all women. Your wife is very fortunate to have a very sweet and supportive husband. Kudos!
-
You have done an amazing job! Congrats! You're an inspiration :)

Can I ask what you do specifically for your abs?
-
Awesome! And in case no one's told ya (haha, jk) you do look much younger and happier as well! :)
-
Thank all of you so much! I'm sure you all know that praise is wonderful, and even more motivation!
-
Hrm, I was hoping to include a larger pic. How do I do that...?
-
Not really what you asked for, but maybe some more perspective... I'm 5'9" and right now I'm around 172ish. I'd LOVE to weigh 160 now. I'd love even more to be around 155 or a little less but we'll see... When I was younger I was already about 5'9" and at 145 I was VERY thin and athletic looking - however I was still in a…

Yes, you look awesome! I'd LOVE for my stomach to look like that - I don't think mine ever will because I can't get rid of the stretchmarks >:( but my abs at least - or even just flat... lol. Thanks for the post, it is motivating! :)

Bump, I'm curious about this as well. My hubby and I don't exactly agree 100% on this matter either.
-
Also, does Dance Central track calories at all? I think I'd like that - I can catch on to that a little easier than Zumba it seems. Does Zumba do a step by step break down? When I demoed it it seemed like they just throw you in and you're supposed to figure it out...?

Yeah, I get that weird sensation in my toes on my left foot towards the end of my workout as well.. lol. I chalked it up to the shoes as well... I've had them for a few years now and they're also not running shoes, more just walking everyday shoes...

My husband and I both use our elliptical for our daily cardio. We can roll ours around easily so we roll it in front of our tv to use it and then roll it away back into our walk-in closet. I would recommend getting a HRM to use while you work out. Ours has a built in computer for calories burned, heart rate, etc... but I'm…

What's Pirate Booty? I need to know! haha

If you have an Aldi nearby - check it out! They have a line called Fit & Active and they have all sorts of yummy snacks that aren't bad for you. Also, popcorn is a good snack that's filling and not bad for you.

I had a streak where I was doing great with my water intake. I would make myself drink my huge cup of water first thing in the morning before I allowed myself my coffee, haha. To be honest, I have to make a conscious effort to drink water. However, it is the only thing (other than my one cup of morning coffee) that I…

I LOVE everything I've had that's Fit & Active! :) These are probably all of my snacks, except for peanut butter wheat or whole grain toast.

So, what do you guys eat for breakfast? I need ideas! I'm a stay at home Mom and usually either have cereal or a cereal bar and my coffee. On the weekends when hubby isn't working we usually have a big breakfast... I'm usually bad about not even having breakfast, but I've been really trying to make myself eat something!

Bump I'd also like to know the best workout or fitness game. I have the Kinect Adventures and Kinect Sports. I like both of those. I'd like one of the following: Biggest Loser Your Shape EA Active 2 Zumba Which is best....?
-
I just recently got one as well. It's so neat! I do get a work out from playing Kinect Adventures and Kinect Sports. I also did the demo of Zumba and couldn't figure it out, haha, but it was a work out. I also did the Dance Central demo and I liked it a lot, I will probably buy that one. I've been researching and looking…

Thank you for this advice :-) I thought I was doing good if I was under my net calories for the day by not eating my exercise calories. I was slacking off on exercise, haha. Still watching my calories. Back into exercise this week, I will stick to your advice and see what happens.

One of the many fabulous benefits of nursing! :D When I weaned I was already down to only one nighttime feeding - but as soon as I was completely done I almost immediately gained a few pounds. Update - a few days of slacking off (mostly due to frustration, lol) and I'm down to my average weight as of late. What's the deal?…
-
I'm not sure how tall you are - but I do believe height and body frame play a lot into how many calories someone should be taking in. I'm 5'9" - even when I am on the lowest end of my weight range I still wear a size 8 in pants size. I was blessed with those child bearing hips
-
tushiness - You look awesome! I WISH my stomach looked like yours. Tell me your goal is just to maintain...?
-
No kidding, the weight was definitely much harder to keep in check very shortly after he was officially weaned. He's been weaned for a few months now and of course it is much more difficult. I told my husband that we need to have another baby and even after I wean I'm just going to keep pumping milk, haha. :blushing: I…
