I get this all of the time – it really bugs me that people make what I eat their business. I found out I was lactose intolerant about 3 months ago and in that time I’ve lost weight as I’m watching what I’m eating and avoiding everything with milk in (I also started 5:2 four weeks ago for other reasons, but I’m sure this…

A dress that was slighltly too small for me that I wore to a wedding in May, I've had to have taken in by over an inch to wear on Saturday! Whoop!

Very pretty, but probably not ;-)

Hi - I'm on my 3rd week, and actually quite enjoying it!!! Today is my fast day too - feel free to add me :-)

If you're only lactose intolerant, there's a great brand in the UK called lactofree. I use their milk in my tea, their cheese when I get a craving and their cream and butter when I’m making desserts – it all tastes exactly the same. Almond milk in cereal and smoothies is delicious, but only the unsweetened version! I've…

I'm starting 5:2 today....I'm halfway through my first fast day and it's really not that bad! I have 100 cals left for this evening, but I seem to be ok with small meals. I'm finding in this heatwave we're having in the UK at the moment, I'm not wanting to eat much anyway!

I don't think it's unreasonable to lose half a stone to feel better about myself in 4 weeks. Thanks for your suggestion though, I'm sure everyone has blips and periods of weight gain every now and then

I favour DVDs as I'm not really confident using weights at the gym....

I favour DVD workouts as I'm not particularly confident at the gym. I did some lifting last year with a friend, but his sessions were always focused on upper body. Just found this http://www.fitnessrxwomen.com/training/strong-shapely-glutes/ but it looks pretty daunting.

Yeah, today will be my first trip back to the gym in a while.. I'm worried about doing myself more harm than good as I've been told my hamstrings overcompensate for my weak glutes. Does anyone else have a similar problem?

I'm interested in hearing comments on this too...

Amazing! And with 2 little ones as well, fantastic work!

Yep, I'm keen to know this too as I would probably do cardio in the morning and weights in the evening.

Bump for later

I've also wondered this, I had a bit of a rant yesterday as I found it so confusing!

I completely agree, you should enjoy eating! I did however make a huge mistake last night, thinking I had enough calories left over for a dessert after my dinner. After I'd polished off the (actually quite small panna cotta) I checked the packet to log my cals & realised it was 420, taking me over by about 300! I had a…

Haha! I love the idea of having my own cheerleader -Thankyou!

Thanks for everyone's suggestions, I've upped my calories to 1400 and I'll be (trying to) eat back my exercise cals too. I think patience is the key here :-)
