I started last Sunday. SW: 172 CW 165 GW 130. I ran for about 20 minutes yesterday, but started feeling dizzy. From what I read, it takes time to become fat adapted so I plan on taking it day by day. In fact, I'm about to jump on the treadmill and re-watch "Weeds" right now. ARRGHH! This post is about losing 50lbs or more.…

I have GOT to try this!

Sounds delicious!

My NSV is being able to cook creamed potatoes with butter and milk for my family and not feel deprived.... at all!
-
Hey folks! Please forgive me, but what is NSV? :)
-
You look AMAZING! How long did it take you to lose the weight?
-
Thank you everyone for the great responses! Its so refreshing to get comments that are supportive.

Do you get dizzy? I love working out, but I'm afraid I won't be able to sustain a good workout on 20 grams of carbs. Like this morning, I was on the treadmill and 20 minutes in, I had to stop and focused on resistance training instead. Great Job on your workout, though!

Congratulations!!

I wake up feeling a bit discombobulated; but that ll goes away soon enough. It's just been a week for me on 20grams of carbs per day.

Hello All, Okay after two disastrous post regarding going LCHF; I have received advice from supporters to join this group. So here I am. I started LCHF last Sunday and weighed 172, as of this morning I am 164. I look forward to hearing about everyone's experiences, tips and advice and will offer those as well. Thanks for…

This thread was supposed to be dedicated to how I am doing on LCHF; my successes, my pitfalls, etc. I was hoping to keep track of that in my original post, but we know how that went. It looks like your comment is going to throw this topic off as well. :/

I will admit, I'm getting the symptoms I read about; the slight headache, but that's it and it goes away pretty quickly. I know it is mostly water weight, but seeing the scale go from 172 on 9/13 to 164 on 9/19 just makes me want to follow through. :)

I'm going to go further.

As the OP, I will say this. I see what you are getting at. An apple exceeds my daily amount of net carbs, but if I eat a very small portion of it, perhaps a bite, I would not have exceeded 20 grams.

5lbs, lost. Water weight, I know, but still exciting :)
-
I've lost 5lbs since posting this thread. I know it's water, but I am very motivated.

I say do what works for you. Sometimes we get so busy, that one meal is all we have time for. And Kudos for you for not feeling bad about it. :)
-
Sweetie, wait to hear what your Dr. has to say. I pray all is well.
-
First, congrats on your weight loss. That is pretty awesome. Second, what type of workouts do you do?
-
Kudos!
-
LOL!! :)

I am quite well versed, thank you. When I say " I'm not sure if its even going to work" , I'm simply being honest. "I...don't...know..., but I am hopeful. Enjoy your day

Thank you!

I think this is where people were misunderstanding me. And I should have been more clear. The two weeks is an induction phase so that my body enters Ketosis - it may even take longer, but we'll see. Then, I will begin the next phase where I add in more net carbs. My theory is to test, test, test. I'll gradually add back…

Thank you! I'm submitted my request to join one of the groups.

I really comes down to what is defined by "normal" eating. I researched where people have chosen low carb as a life style. Unless you have sat in my home and observed what I have done, don't assume I haven't done the research.

I didn't think your original comment was hateful.

Wow, you are so far off the mark. Have a blessed day.
