  • Unfortunately the dvd that comes with the balls don't show even a fraction of what you can do with them. By going to a trainer I have learned a lot of crazy, fun effective things to use it for. I wouldn't know where to begin, or when to stop to list what I do with it here. I'd have to take some time to look, but I remember…
  • Congrats!!! 14 pounds in 4 weeks is a lot. It may take a bit longer to see enough of a difference in the measurements. I get measured every 10-12 weeks and see a noticable amount. Are you exercising? That makes a difference too. When my weight loss slows down is usually when my body is adjusting & the measurements change.
  • I roast either plain cauliflour or a variety of all kinds of veggies, zuchinni, peppers, broccoli, even tomatoe chunks all mixed together. Just spread out on a sheet sprayed with pam, drizzle w/olive oil, sprinkle w/ basil, parsley , and pepper, and bake til tender. I'l set the overn for 450 and it only takes 15 minutes.…
  • You're perfectly normal. Some of us get more retention than others during that time. Too bad it doesn't always seem to come off as easy as it comes on!
  • I too lost a great deal of weight with weight watchers and then it stopped. After the holidays and the 12 week session ending early Feb. I was the same weight as 12 weeks ago, going up & down. I decided to give paying WW a break and went to this site. I am still folllowing the WW guidelines/food requirements. But on this…
  • It's soooo great to hear someone having so many happy things happening these days. Congrats on the weight loss and a new beginning in your life. Life is pretty stressful right now here with my mom being ill, but I jut have to take a day at a time & know we'll get through it. I'm going to do my best to make sure I still fit…
  • I totally understand your frustration. I've lost about 70 but still want to lose another 50. It really has slowed down no matter what I do. When I just got into being able to run/jog and realized I had arthritis in my knee. I also had to give up jump roping which I was really getting good at. Bought a 5 pound weighted rope…
  • While watching TV, even if just during commercials have some light weights, water bottles or canned goods and use them to do bicep curls or shoulder raises. I have a balance ball I sit on watching tv. More comfy than you would think. During commercials I roll around doing crunches or pushups with my feet up on it, (easier…
  • I just joined almost 3 weeks ago and also love that they do all the figuring. Before joining I had gone to a nutritionist trying to figure what I was doing wrong. She couldn't find anything looking at my food diarys and gave me guidelines to follow too which are very similar. The only suggestion she gave me was to spread…
  • I have friends like that & I to used to be one of those people. Actually I was watching the Biggest Loser a couple years ago & made the comment that if I had a trainer like that I could exercise too. I didn't realize that anyone was really listeneing and that year I got a gift cert. to go to a trainer for Christmas. It…
  • I like Flber one or fiber plus bars with 1/2 glass skim milk. Also the 100 cal bag of popcorn with a lot of water. Seems like it grows after it's eaten! Also a snack with any kind of protein is supposed to fill you and stay with you longer.
  • Break yourself into the exercise (I like calling it activity, doesn't sound so grueling!) at your own pace. I never used to do anything then started with a personal trainer. She can tell what I am capable of and increased it when I was ready. Now I can keep up with or out do kids 20 years younger than me. Walking like you…
  • Going out to eat is alwyas tough, but we deserve it. Italian is tough w/700 calories. Maybe try to get some activity in to earn a few etra calories and then just be conscious when you order, but still enjoy yourself. It isn't an everyday thing. I have a harder time with the sodium than the calories.

  • Try to start replacing the junk food in the house with healthier snack alternatives, such as fiber bars, (eat too many and you'll know it!) sugar free pudding or jello, 100 cal popcorn snacks (with a large water will fill you for hours). If we have the real sweets in the house I have no control no matter how good I have…
  • I just use the non stick spray in a non stick fry pan. You can use a tiny bit of healthy oil too if you want, such as canola or olive oil
  • Feel free to add me as a friend. Also, you can set your profile that friends or anyone if you want can view your food or exercise diary. I did. I am always open to ideas and also seeing they types of meals others plan that are doing well helps to get ideas too.

  • I think it's great you did so well on the diet. My sister has been on & off of it along with the weight going up and down. For me I have to be able to eat what I want which is why this site helps me so much as it keeps what I want in perspective to still be able to lose weight. I think that by following the diet as well as…
  • I've been losing weight for 2 years now. I kept one pair of shorts from when I started to remind myself how bad it was and never to go back but everything else is gone. I can pull them up over anything I have on & still have room after losing 70 pounds so far. Otherwise the clothes went to charity or resale shop. Now I…
  • A lot of the 100 cal. packs are empty calories, but still better than going for the regular cookies & sweets. There are some better than others. For example, because of the extra fiber in the fiber one bars, (they have 90 cal. bars now, very good) they will keep you full for longer.
  • Amazing!! Geat job. Your newer picture looks like it could be the daughter of the heavier one. You look great.
  • You are eating way too few calories, especially while working out. Your body is holding into everything you feed it since it's being starved. Hard to accept that you really do have to eat to lose weight. Choose healthier foods to get the extra calories in & you'll be surprised how much you can eat & see the weight start…
  • Congratulations on how great you've done. I've lost 70 pounds so far over the last 2 years and have quite a ways to go, but am doing it just like you. No diets! Just adding exercise and making much healthier food choices. I'm always looking for motivation anywhere I can get it. If it can't be a way of life then whenever…
  • Breakfast is really important to get your metab. going for the day. Also when you snack if you have protein it stays with you longer. So your dinner should include protein and then if you need a small snack later it's still ok. I graze all day but do eat breakfast as soon as I get up and a good dinner for sure, I'm rarely…
  • Quick and filling. I toast one Arnold sandwich thin (100 cal), One tablespoon of peanut butter is plenty, and thinly slice a 1/2 banana on top. The peanut butter melts and it's great. That and a glass of skim milk stays with me for hours.
  • I've been taking it for awhile for my knees. When I first had pain I was given the anti inflamatory naproxin for the pain and retained water like crazy from it. Gained 4 pounds the first week! After a month or so I couldn't take it anymore. Went off & lost 3 the first week. Dr recommended the Glocosamine Cond. I took it…
  • I started with over 100 to lose 2 years ago. Takes a lot of effort and you'll have good & bad times, but as you lose just remember how far you've come. Make smaller goals. Celebrate every 10 pounds. I've lost 70, but still have at least 50 to go. Slow going for me, but I know once it's gone it's never coming back!
  • I have 3 favorites that I make several recipes from. One is Zonya's Lickety Split meals. Her website is Zonya.com and there are sample recipes. I probably make at least 3 things a week from it and it has all the nutritional info for every recipe. The cookbook also has a lot of motivational info in it. Simple, quick recipes…
  • Just finished my first week. The site does get addicting. It's interesting to see that so many of us have the same issues we're dealing with.
  • I honestly believe that the exercise does help with the weight loss but more so with your size when you reach your goal. Muscle weighs more than fat, but it is also much smaller pound for pound. I lost a lot about 20 years ago w/o any exercise and wore a size 16 weighing 160 pounds. Had kids and gained it back, plus. Now I…
  • Not sure if Hondas ideas are any different, but at most dealerships being certified preowned, means that it is obviously a used vehicle, but they are certifying that they have checked it out, basically mechanically, and that everything is good when the car is sold. I think the only way to get an honest answer as to if it…
