Awesome! I just finished week 1 too!! I am still sore, but have noticed that I have more energy.

I am through the first week and am not following the meal plan, partly because I am not a huge fan of eggs. I am trying to eat things that help with my recovery and energy level though. I have also noticed that I need to eat the calories I've burned back in order to help me recover.

I made it through day 5. I didn't think it was really possible to be more sore. Compression socks and ibuprofen have helped greatly, I've also tried to drink lots of water. For me, it was goals that feel obtainable to me. Like lose a pound a week, can I meet the calorie goal without starving myself, and a certain weight without killing myself. This is a lifestyle change not a quick fix to fit into a dress for an event.

Feel free to add. My motivation is for health reasons as well. I just had my second hip surgery and facing a 3rd in a few months. I am hoping that talking some weight off of frame will help with the healing process among other things.
