Night shift again this month...but I've been so busy with stuff going on that I haven't been online. Then off the first 2 weeks of May, but will return to day shift. Trying to get myself back on track! It's been a real struggle the past couple of months

I love this^^^^^ It's so true!!!

I wouldn't consider 2 weeks a plateau. As long as you keep on eating and logging correctly, keep on with your exercise, I bet you start losing again. I've been the same for several months, well...except for the 5 that I picked up over the holidays :\ ...but I'm still working out and doing my best to eat and log correctly.…

Back on nights! I'm only here every other month. :)

Makeup, shampoo, conditioners, body and bath lotions, chapsticks, soap all have to be checked....and what your significant other is using makes a difference, as well. And don't forget vitamins and medications. It's difficult sometimes, but worth it to be careful.

Also watch for maltodextrin. If it doesn't say it's derived from corn, there's a good chance it's got gluten. There's also gluten in many vitamins and medications. Several in my family have actual allergies to the point of breaking out in a rash and sometimes hives.

What she said ^^^ I used to know my bathroom floor all too well.

Annie Lennox and her Christmas songs....ho ho hell.

I guess I'm rude, also, because I'm curious about eating only half a nut. I generally weigh 28 gram (1 serving) of raw almonds for a small pick-me-up with a cup of coffee, but can't imagine eating only half a nut. :)

Do you have room at home for a trainer that your bike can set in? My cycling friends and I use them often in the winter months, especially before big rides in the spring. I like that better than using the exercise bikes because it's MY bicycle and fits me like it should. We are lucky enough that work supplies us with bike…

Little steps at a time. It's tough to make a lot of changes at one time and you may do much better to just take it slowly to start off.

I really enjoy real snow like back "home" in Minne-snow-ta. The faux snow we have in Virginia just isn't the same. :\

Depends on the face and beard...on men. On women, not so much. ;)

My daughter, at 19, was with her dad at Phuket Island in Thailand when the 2004 tsunami hit. They had just stepped onto the beach when the waves started coming in.

Wow! You're doing great! :D

That's it? only 3 ingredients? 4 if we add vanilla? Wow! I have GOT to try these!

Whatever I can find that's on sale/inexpensive. This is a work in progress. When I get where I want to be, then I may splurge a bit on a couple of nice workout tops/pants.

I think they're only capital if they're proper names...like Ouagadougou, Berkina Faso. Otherwise, I think they can be little, even if they're big.

Just break up.

Wow! Great job! You look awesome

My endocrinologist has my thyroid levels on an even keel with the medication he prescribes for me. I eat 2 or 3 fruits a day and soup whenever I feel like it. There are lower sodium soups in the stores, if sodium is an issue. I'd get a second opinion if I were you.

That's amazing! Thank you for sharing your story. Like 2bunnymama said above, it really does help when someone is having a rough morning and sees someone else's success.

Wow! You look great! Your smile looks better in each picture. Keep going!

Since one of my kids is working and the other is spending the holiday with her in-laws, I will survive Thanksgiving by working...and packing a lunch/dinner. With retail, nursing, fire fighting and law enforcement all covered, we seldom have holidays off together so I often volunteer to do duty exchanges with co-workers who…

You and I weigh about the same right now. :) I understand completely about this not being what was expected...and about the "whipping child." A frenemy of 20 years is falling by the wayside because she seems to resent that I'm feeling better about myself. I've done better with MFP than she has on WW. I'm more focused on…

Got my first check from the consignment shop where I just started taking my "outgrown" clothes. Have an IKEA bag packed full of the next load of stuff.

"Late in life" makes me think 70's! I'm 56 and just started jogging (because I don't think I'm fast enough for it to be called running) three weeks ago? I jogged/ran 2 12-minute miles this morning before work without stopping. No aches or pains. I'm actually enjoying myself.

Before I knew that celiac disease existed, I had all those symptoms. I was diagnosed with several things, IBS, spastic colon, lactose intolerance (I suppose this doesn't exist either?). I also had trouble with dandruff and itchy skin. After much testing (scopes and bloodwork), it was discovered that I have an…

I don't think it's the catcalls that has most people's spidey senses pinging so much as the comment about you thinking there's drug trafficking going on.

What he said....definitely. I'd also invest in a can of pepper spray to carry. When I bike on a wooded trail that is mostly deserted with a friend who is 6'4" and 280 lbs, both of us carry pepper spray. It would enable us to disable an attacker long enough to get away.
