OK, thanks, what is MCT? I'll see if I can go out quickly, there is a coffee shop right below my office that serves broth.... the mental lag I'm feeling is also from this?

Thanks for the great advice. I'm feeling quite wozzy and shakey right now, I'm at work and don't have time for a break until noon. I don't feel hungery just kinda out of it? Any suggestions?

OK, I just had 2 boiled eggs with salt and butter and 1/2 an avocado and I'm feeling better ( 2 coffees also)

I'm on day 3 and woke up a bit groggy and headachey. I'm taking a magnesium supplement today and will put salt on my eggs. Coffee is a must for me, I hope this won't effect my progress, what about aspartame? Can I use it in small amounts? I've also decided to keep this eating plan to myself, I'm a single mom so not really…

Thanks for the great info, What is HWC? I'm trying the 2 week challenge from Dr. Andreas Eenfeldt's program that I found on a link on the getting started page. Only day 2, but I did my normal workout at the gym with no problem. What about cheat meals? I'm such a carb/sugar addict that I'm afraid if I allow myself to cheat…

I have two dogs and I find that by walking them for 20 min 3 times a day it helps me achieve my 10,000 steps

I try to get out of the house for an after dinner walk or get away from the kitchen and read. For me after dinner eating has to do with being too close to the food!

Have you guys hear of the "Twinkie Diet" ? http://www.cnn.com/2010/HEALTH/11/08/twinkie.diet.professor/ "Being overweight is the central problem that leads to complications like high blood pressure, diabetes and high cholesterol. For 10 weeks, Mark Haub, a professor of human nutrition at Kansas State University, ate one of…

I've tried low carb and I do find I feel less hungry and get less blood sugar swings ( subjectively, I'm not actually tracking my blood sugar). However when I logged the calories of what I was eating on the low carb program it was under 1300 per day. I just don't find it sustainable though. I get major carb cravings and…

The quiche sounds good, I'm am eating stir fried tofu and berries this morning. I'm not a great cook so easy recipes are good for me :)

Thanks so much! That really helps. One thing I've noticed is that MFP will up my carbs on my more active days over 50 grams. I've got a fit bit and it is syncned with MFP. I still should be eating well under that for carbs though if I want to stay in ketosis right?

Thats what I'm doing, I'm actually down 3 lbs now...

I tried the keto calculator but found it a bit confusing. The ratios seemed a bit extreme. I'm 5'4" 130 lbs and trying to get to 120 lbs I'm 49 years old. I work out with weights ( more endurance than heavy) 3 times a week and walk 30-60 minutes/day. My job is active as I'm a physiotherapist. I'm set at 1,300 calories per…

I'm thinking of trying the keto diet, I looked it up and it seems OK, I'm not sure about eating that much fat but I'll keep track on MFP and see if I can keep in my calorie range. Marcros will not be the same but I'll switch them over to what it says on the keto website. Any ideas on sites for more info?

OK, I'm just counting calories and "trying" to stay on target with Macros

How is everyone doing so far????

PS what is keto?

So far so good this week, I'm going to open up my food diary, if anyone has suggestions let me know.

I'm on 1300 cals per day, when I exercise I do ten to "eat back" the calories I've burned. Good idea or not when trying to lose those last 10lbs? For example today I've earned an extra 460 in exercise, not eat or not to eat, that is the question.

I have been doing Cathe Friedrich DVD's for many years, she has a great selection of weight resistance workouts. I just don't have time for the gym, so a set of weights, a barbell and a step are all I need to workout at home.
-
Just for today: 1. I will eat breakfast 2. I will pack a lunch instead of buying one 3. I won't mindlessly "cruise" the fridge and cupboards after dinner

Love my Fit Bit flex, since getting it for a Mothers Day present I've lost 10 lbs!!!
