  • Cereal is quick release, when you think of cheerios and such. And while oatmeal is a cereal as well, it is slow release, not as much processing to break it up. It and Barley have the lowest GI values of the grains
  • I have changed my diet and started to track calories and the right kind of calories, thanks to my fitbit. I have set up a routine of cardio, hiit and weight lifting to lose fat and tone up. It has been working great so far. The hardest part for me is the food... but I'll survive Nietzsche style!
  • I think my fitbit averages my sleep to 3-4 hours a day. I would LOVE at least 6.
  • I don't see the two as very different, you just want a whole crate or snickers instead of one. If you're okay with running to work it off, then do it. If you don't want to work it off, then be okay with your fitnes goals slowed down. You can still rearrange your meal plans, or just shrug and move on.
  • If I want to indulge, I change my menu for the day to allow it, then I don't have to worry about the additional calories or sugars or whatevers because it's there. No need to change routines, just a little bit of planning. With enough practice it can be done on the fly. I haven't had any problems with this method.
  • I don't take care of myself. I'm not it the worst of shape, but I work late shifts or graves, get WAY to little sleep, eat whatever is around, and walk around like a zombie most of the time. I deserve to be treated better, especially by me. So I want to do it. It was rough when I started, being sore and stiff, but it is…
  • This is a great group. I hope I can motivate myself, have a crazy schedule with work, but I plan on getting off my butt. I do some Zumba and the Spartacus workout with a sprinkling of some lifting. Gotta get a beach body so I can rock the beaches around home. Good luck to you all!
