What an achievement! You look great. Well done.

I moved here last year from London in the UK. I'd love to be your MFP friend. Feel free to send me a request

I dealt with this previously and was able to manage it naturally (although I understand this isn't always the case for everyone). I took sea kelp as it is rich in iodine and often if you are hypothyroid you may be deficient in iodine. I also sped up my metabolism by eating little and often - every 2.5 - 3hrs. It was a huge…

If you have an iphone there are some great apps that will give you a good cardio workout and get you really sweating and burning those calories. There's a collection of them one called cardio, one called arm workout, one called abs and a few more and they're actually really good. In terms of the hunger be sure you're…

The reason you are hungry is becasue of TOM. Your body burns about 15% more energy during the lead up to TOM which explains the constant feeling of hunger. I often have this each month. Try to fill up on veggies and protein at the start of your meal a drink as much water as you can. It will pass and it won't ruin your…

Thanks for this. Well check it out

I gave up weighing myself months ago as my goal is fat and inch loss which diesn't always translate to 'weight' loss on the scales. I went to the Dr'soffice the other day and was weighed and I haven't gained any weight at all which for me is great as my body shape has changed and I now fit into smaller clothes. I'm not…

Thank you all. I'm going to look into some of the things you've recommended

I don't think it'll be a major setback, I think you may just need to ease back into it. You may not be able to use the same weights you did before your surgery but you can experiment and work your way up. As frustrating as it is it's important that you recover fully. Keep ya head up girl, you'll be back lifting properly…

[/quote] I think I am going to do a mini bulk and a more weight intensive program like Stronglifts 5x5 or something like that. I want to gain more muscle and strength, though I did gain a fair amount of muscle, more like a recomp (replaced fat with muscle and didn't gain/lose any weight) with this program. I haven't done…

As I posted on your wall, trry not to focus too much on the scales. I have been stuck for months but I didn't give up, just keep being active and eating well and I know you will see progress. You don't have much to lose so it sometimes can be a little harder but I know you will get there. p.s - you should take 2…

Stage 7 - wow! It's funny because I never ever look ahead at future stages (I'm currently on 5) but today I looked at stgae 7 and was thinking what an achievement it will be to reach there - I cannot wait. Well done for your consistency in reaching this far. What will you go onto when you complete the program?

Sounds like my week. Had to pass througb Peckham on my way home yesterday - very scary. No sleep last night, gym closed at 3pm today and was shut yesterday :grumble: There are masses of police out tonight though so I think things'll be back to normal tomorrow

Do you have an iphone or internet access at home? If you do go onto nike training club - loads of simple effective workouts you could do on there
-
Take small steps. How about increasing your walking by a minute each way everyday? Just an idea

Make sure you stay safe on your way home

I am a south Londoner too and had to pass through one of the areas concerned early yesterday night - horrific! I have been sat in my home to scared to go out watching the news as the areas I grew up in were torched and looted. I'm leaving the UK next week to work abroad and I am so saddened that THIS will be my last memory…

My heart thoughts and prayers go out to all of the innocent victims who's lives have been affected and in some cases ruined my this tragic horrific display of disorder

I totally agree with you. My only point was that there are underlying reasons for things, (far too layered and highly inappropriate to be discussed on a health and fitness forum). I agree with all that you have said. I would never EVER justify such abhorrent, digusting, vile behaviour.

And becauase you live far from London, have not experienced the 'experiement' that is multiculturalism and have never engaged with such people you will never, never understand why this has happened. It is such a terrible shame, the whole thing
-
Whilst I in NO WAY condone this behaviour this has been a long time coming. We are dealing with a sub-culture of people who do not think rationally, have had such poor experiences, little or no parenting, failure at school and see nothing to live for. Most of these young men see their future as either being dead or in jail…

You are so right. I'm a Londoner and respect all cultures but do not think multi-culturalism works at all :-(

HIIT (High intensity interval training)~ work a treat! Google interval training.net

Just started stage 5 this week and I LOVE it! I love the lower reps with heavier weight - I pushed myself as much as I could and I fel super strong. I really hope this stage is where I see significant change in my physique. Anyone else have any tips for maximising fat loss and strength?
-
I think you're absolutely right. Starting in the morning I will commit to at least of 100g of protein each day. Thanks for your advice - you always keep me focused and motivated :-)
-
mmmm..... thanks kensky. I just don't know, I upped my calories and whilst I didn't lose I didn't gain either? I really don't know what to do? I'm still quite fat it you know what I mean?
-
Weigh yourself once a week and once only. Same day, same time same circumstances, first thing in the morning is best. Also measure your waist, though your belly button, arms and thighs. Measuring will tell you far more than the scales - all the best.

I'm feeling a bit strange in regards to the program during this stage. I don't seem to have seem much improvement, in actual fact I feel kinda flabbier? mmmmmm???? strange. I'm finishing stage 4 but I'm not really enjoying this stage, no matter how heavy I go I never seem to work up a sweat like i have on the previous…

That's the first place I say real change too but I got scared so I eased back a bit but in retrospect I should have just kept on going.

I'm in - current weight 147.6. Goal weight 142lbs....... that sounds so nice  Lets hope I make it
