This is my 6th week on TM. Monday (volume day) is by far the hardest day, but Wednesday is light to allow recovery for Friday (heavy). Eating and sleeping enough are a work in progress. Last week I made the mistake of doing a hard tempo run on Thursday and my legs were shot for heavy squats on Friday. From now on I think…

I did StrongLifts 5x5 for over 6 months when I started lifting. Then I tried 5/3/1 for a few months and a 12 week free personalized plan from a trainer. Now I'm following the Texas Method.

Sorry I caused the confusion/arguement. I made up my screen name because I want to bulk while trying to clean up my diet a bit. There's no way I will eat totally "clean" because I love pizza, beer, ice cream, etc. just as much as the next person. My goal is to eat about 3500 calories a day while eating more protein and…

My workout program has very been consistent over the last 3 months. I lift heavy 3 days a week, run once and do a barbell complex once. Weekends are for yardwork and kids. The calculator on IIFYM gave me a TDEE of 3019 calories and a text book 10% bulk at 3321 calories.

JoRocka, I know I will gain some fat, but I want to minimize that since I have enough fat already. My work gives free annual health screenings in May where they measure your weight, bodyfat, bmi. From 2013 to 2014, I gained 5.5 lbs and lost 0.5 lb of fat. I know 5.5 lbs in a year isn't much, but I wasn't consistent at all…

I'm running just to maintain cardio fitness so I can keep up with my kids.
