The plan was to start heavy lifting last week. Sadly the person who was supposed to be my guide bailed on me. I've since contacted my gym inquiring about a personal trainer to help get me started. Apparently they don't move as quickly as I'd hoped

The reason I am eating at a deficit is because the fat around my hips and thighs. I'm not in a hurry because I know these things tend to work at a snails pace. But I would be lying if I said it wasn't discouraging to be as anal as I have been without any results. I've noticed muscle definition in my legs, arms and stomach…

I'm estimating my workout calories in the middle of what my heart rate monitor says and what it is on here. I don't go too high because I know they tend to be inconsistent.
-
I'm measuring and weighing (not consistent on the weighing in because I tend to get upset when it's not moving). I'm measuring everything. And I don't log on here consistently. No, I log everything in a book at home after weighing the food. I find it keeps me more accountable to make sure I log it because no way will I…

I'm at .5 a day weight loss a week. I try my very best to eat back my calories but sometimes I can't without feeling sick. So there's days I don't eat them back. My goal is ultimately to look fit. Strong legs, strong abs, great *kitten*. Lol (isn't that everyone's goal?). I track all my calories at home because I find lots…

Can someone PLEASE explain what this is?
-
My membership is $42 including tax. I work out 6 days a week so $1.75 a time, well worth the money spent

Seriously thank you guys for taking the time to respond! I will watch all the YouTube videos tonight. And hopefully next time I'm there someone who isn't just on the tredmill will be there.

My local store is only a half mile away from me. I NEVER drive :) I forced my husband and kids to walk it with me one day and my husband said "why exactly did we walk to the store" Lol, he isn't into this lifestyle just yet. Bet that will change when I start curling more then he does :)

When I realized that I genuinely did not like myself. I was covering up on hot days and always bought only baggy clothing. I didn't feel good because I wasn't happy with myself. I just woke up one day and said "screw this". I wanted to love who I was. And I wanted to appreciate my body. I wanted a healthy relationship with…

You can ALL do it! My youngest is 4 and I've had an on off relationship with fitness. I finally started really pounding the gravel this year and I just sprouted abs today. It's a journey but you'll get there!!!
-
*giggle* I feel like I have a ton of them right now. My clothing fits comfortably, I have to tighten my HRM around my ribs, my bras are too big and I can see actual muscle sprouting everywhere.
-
Ok, I'll take a peek. Thanks!

I'm having my bfp checked tomorrow to find out where I'm at. Last time I checked I was in 22% range. I'd like to get down to 17% ultimately. So would you suggest focusing on fat loss or muscle gain?
-
Ok, so then how to I figure out what I should be taking in? I realize this is something that takes time, which I've got and am not trying to rush. But I want to be sure I'm feeding myself enough for my lifestyle without putting on fat.
-
That's my overall question, should I be eating more? I took the long way around it but that's basically what I was meaning to ask. Lol
-
I'm not that tiny. 5'4 129. Healthy weight range. I am noticing my body composition changing. My legs, arms and stomach are showing definition. But nothing massive obviously.
-
I'm weighing everything obsessively. Again, I'm not extremely concerned with the number on the scale. I'm just not wanting to be stalling progress with my muscle growth. I'm eating a pretty clean diet, I've cut out almost all sugars, watch what carbs I'm taking in and eating enough protein.
-
I guess I'm confused by this. I can't drop my intake any less. I eat around 1200 a day and try to eat my calories back. Sometimes I can't. Water retention for 3 1/2 weeks? Is that normal? I'm not trying to be smart assy. I'm just confused.
-
3 1/2 weeks. But during that 3 1/2 weeks I've totally revamped my diet and started heavy lifting. So I'm wondering if maybe the lifting is adding the muscle which would explain the non weight loss. I'm not a professional at this so forgive me if I'm 100% incorrect on this. But a lot of what I've read has caused concern…

After losing no weight for 3 weeks I got on my scale this morning to a -1.6 pound loss! The weight isn't really a big deal to me because I'm already in a healthy range... But, it still feels great to see something from all the effort.
-
I know people who are on it and have had seemingly "miraculous" results... Although, these were women who were pretty small to begin with and also work out 6X a week. They both are ridiculously cut. But I think anyone who dedicates working out 12 hours a week and eating right will have amazing results. With or without an…

Are you ladies trying to do them all at the same time or breaking them up throughout the day?
-
Sigh... yeah probably. I am sort of sick of clinics and appointment atm so I wanted to pout my way out of that one.
-
I'm in! Better late then never I guess!

I do have a heart monitor on 24/7. When it gets to a danger zone it will go off. It is basically trial and error on my part

I took Plexus, and while I feel like it helped me in many areas (slept better, was easier to avoid sweets, ate smaller portions) it's by no means a miracle worker. You still have to make the better choices. I do recommend it for just because of the benefits I had with it. But as far as weight loss goes.... how much success…

Seriously, everything you say is 100% spot on (in my humble opinion). Dude is saying enough with the excuses... the end. I have this same fight with people who think they can diet for a week and when they don't lose 30lbs They then eat a pizza and package of girl scout cookies and cry because they just cant understand why…
-
I don't care really if I lose pounds honestly. I am just trying to eat healthier and make smarter choices since I cannot do cardio.

The rice cakes are just a treat for me. I used to eat a lot of chips and such so I wanted to change that without completely removing it.
