  • My doctor told me that I was allowed to continue as I was. He said my body should be well conditjoned.ive already made the personal call to dial back intensity.
  • I started really taking my health seriously about 7 weeks ago, I usually run 3 days a week, and heavy lift r days a week. I also really started watching my diet. So far my cellulite has reduced by a significant amount. I wish I would have taken photos to show. I just believe it's all about a healthy diet and staying…
  • Good for you. I'm a recovered anorexic. I understand the struggle well. I still struggle with the number on the scale even though I'm probably in the best physical shape of my life. One step at a time
  • I've seen a lot of people say it's high... I wear a chest strapped HRM and the totals on MFP is always super low in relation to my HRM. I have to adjust accordingly. For example, a 30 minute fast job for me says I burn something like 95 cals, while my HRM says around 212.
  • Sunny D containers actually lol
  • That's exactly what I said. I knew it wasn't healthy to over drink water. Of course we have to stay hydrated but that seems like an excess of water to take in. I don't think I physically would be able to drink a gallon unless I wasn't eating. But, 2 gallons isn't possible for me.
  • I'm also wondering about this. I've been eating at a deficit for 6 weeks, strength training 4 days a week with 30 minutes of cardiovascular 2x a week. I haven't lost anything poundage wise. I've to noticed changes in my body but haven't lost any weight in 6 weeks.
  • It really does become the same with food. At least in my case. When I first started I was sooooo miserable. I was addicted to fountain pop, like seriously addicted 3-5 of them a day. I haven't had one in 33 days, and you know what I don't even crave them :). It just kind of makes you realize how hard you're working and…
  • I only eat back about 50% of them. And I usually go between what my HRM and here says.
  • Also, with recomp do I eat at maintenance goal?
  • How often should I be heavy lifting? And, should I still be doing yoga and cardio with it?
  • My macros have been broken out yes. Id have to look at them and see as I don't remember exactly how they've been broken up.
  • Thank you! It's been a hard fought battle. And I will admit Doing things the healthy way is not always easy. And it's hard to get over that mindset that the number on the scale doesn't actually matter (probably the reason I still worry about the scale at all)
  • I'm curious what your thoughts are on calories. Do you feel like they're all created equal? Do you feel a calorie in pizza would be the same as a calorie in say a garden salad. Silly question yes. But, the reason I ask is because when I'm eating back my calories I'm eating fresh veggies or spinach salads. I'm trying to…
  • That's my thoughts. I was an anorexic. I struggled for a lot of years with it. I'm not going to give tips on how to lose an extreme amount of weight in a short time. But I will say when I was at the peak I NEVER struggled to lose weight when I was actually physically starving. It's a bad bad thing. Under eating will always…
  • I think I'll just give myself another couple weeks and see how I'm doing. I'm hoping when I meet with a trainer he can teach me some more about recomp as I am really eager to start a heavy lifting schedule. Recomp and eating to build muscle is something I'm perfectly fine admitting I have no experience on and it 100%…
  • 5'4- I sit about 8 hours a day. Work out 5-6 days a week. I do a mix between yoga, cardio and strength. Cardio I really try to make it a sweat fest.
  • Well I do agree I should up my weight and intensity. I honestly don't think I could even manage close to 2500 calories a day. Or are you saying zig zag calories? (which I've read can be very effective)
  • Which is totally possible as well. I was googling about that yesterday because I do feel bloated and have been unreasonably hungry these last 2-3 days. I'll see what happens after I get my period. (Sorry guys, don't want to gross you out lol)
  • Am I wrong to think I might be allowing myself too few calories? Is that possible? I've thought about that, but... Starvation mode will only last so long before weight does start dropping (if that's the case, and no I don't want my body to be in starvation mode of any kind.) I've battled with anorexia my entire teen/early…
  • I'd understand overshooting maybe once a week. And I'll concede to that because hey, accidents happen. On the other hand, I WEIGH everything I eat. I drink nothing with calories (except creamer which is weighed and added into logging). My meals are planned out Sunday's and proportioned evenly across the board. One day I…
  • Abs are NOT worked every day. Just to clarify. Maybe 3 days a week
  • No cheat days. And no, the most I've gone over is 53 calories. And I did that once. Made up for it by doing extra workout. I am doing a mix of cardio 2 days a week, I do yoga 2 days a week and usually the days I do cardio I don strength along with another two days of just strength. Yoga is 90 minutes long. I usually have…
  • I'll start researching more into recomp. I'm a little confused with how that specifically works.
  • I'll focus more on the measuring. I am enjoying the changes my body is going through and have maintained a positive outlook. Sadly, I didn't start measuring right away so I could have most inches by now and just not know it. Progress pics are also something I've taken quite a few of. Sometimes I just worry that there's…
  • Should say by a trainer. I don't have a trainer just conversed with one a couple times. Explained my goals ect
  • That's kind of a hard question for me to answer. When I started I wanted to drop maybe 5lbs. But since I've changed to there isn't a number. My goal isn't to weigh a specific amount. It's to be stronger, leaner and in overall less body fat. With that said, I was told my a trainer I should be losing weight with the…
  • What I'm saying is I started at 129. For 3 weeks the scale stayed at 129. Not an ounce more not an ounce less. I jumped on the scale two weeks ago it said 127. Today I weighed in again and it's up to 129 not an ounce more not an ounce less. I weigh at the same time in the morning before I have anything to eat/drink. My…
  • So what is your suggestion then?
  • Honestly I don't care what the scales are. I was specifically told by a trainer that if I'm logging accurately and working out that the numbers should be moving. I'm not lying when I say I'm obsessively logging. I WANT results otherwise I would have just kept eating like crap and laying around. I only use the scales once…
