I understand where you are coming from. I got fat due to having my leg amputated. I got lazy and chose not to lose the weight for a few years. I am trying the best I can. It has been very tough for me and my family. I wake up some days just feeling like crap. Not all excuses are justified, however I wouldn't call bs on…

Surgery and fear are in the way right now. I like to remember myself the way I was. You are an amazing lady. Keep up the great job.

You are my new inspiration. However I won't take any pictures. I can't bring myself to do it. Fantastic job:happy:

Years ago when all of this cleanse nonsense wasn't so popular I tried one. I figured what the hell could it hurt? It was a week long cleanse. My eating habits weren't great. I don't remember the name of the product (purple box) Both my husband and I tried it. We took the pills early in the morning. We were on our way to do…

Although I do not do this everyday for myself....it can taste pretty refreshing. I juice an apple and a small hit of fresh ginger, then top it off with soda/tonic water. Otherwise I'm a green tea with lemon person. Hey btw welcome and great first week.

That is amazing progress. Are you happy now? That is the main question. I hope you are....best wishes to you.

I haven't given up a lot really. I have cut back on sweeties. For me, it is what I have introduced to my diet that has really kept me going. I wanted to make changes to my diet, but more importantly I wanted to love the foods I was eating. Who would have thought that veggies tasted so good?

Scale won't move one way or the other. I try to eat healthy. The choices are not great on the road. What do you suggest I incorporate into my diet? I am 151lbs, 5ft 3ins. I eat around 1200 cals a day, which is a lot for me. I am pescatarian. (no judging please)

I've had a hell of a time losing. I had my leg amputated (to my knee) a few years back and it is hard for me to get on the treadmill. I do it...it's just hard for me. I eat decent, but after quitting all pain meds, just can't seem to budge the belly/as*fat. I think a lot of the meds contributed to the weight gain, but I'm…

Please don't be sad. I'm 53 too and also on the weight loss bandwagon. You will find a lot of really nice people on this site. A few years ago I found myself having to live with my daughter and son in law. As wonderful as they are, a certain amount of stress went along with it. Plus just having a surgery and a bout of the…

This is true. But with IBS, it for the most part won't allow you to eat foods you love. Some of those foods the OP is eating are attributing to her symptoms. *contributing :)

Good job on taking that walk. Feeling heavy can be disheartening. Now stand back for a second.....you have lost 18lbs. That is friggin awesome. Take that from someone who's weight ticker shows zero.

I have Crohn's disease so the most important thing to do will be to log all of your foods. If you suffer on a regular basis with flare ups, logging your foods will be a very important tool to zero in on the foods that will give you any "poop bombs"This will help you figure out the foods that are triggering your IBS. If you…
