I agree with the posts above about compound lifts. I think it is also important to find a personal trainer whose personality fits your own so really pay attention to how they motivate and talk to you. I have a personal trainer who is goofy and funny but can still push me without yelling at me. My friend has a personal…

Nice loss, losingw8now! Keep up the great work! This past few weeks have been pretty good. Going on 4 weeks without alcohol so I am starting to (begrudingly) think that cutting back on the booze is helping my weight loss, overall. Not gonna say that I am going to quit drinking forever but this sober break that I am on is…

Awesome job, losingw8now! Keep it up. SW - 241 CW - 233.6 Total lost - 7.4 pounds. Gained 1.6 pounds from last week but I am able to pinpoint what happened: too much fun at Big Bear last weekend. But I am happy to say that I am back on track and I expect to see a loss next week. Have a great week everyone.

Week 0 - 239.7 Week 1 - 237.9 Week 2 - 232.1 Week 3 - 232 Total loss - 7.7 Not much of a loss this week but it was also my friends birthday this past weekend so my eating was no bueno. Back into the zone this week and hope to go back to 2+ pound losses again soon.

SW - 241 CW - 232 Total lost - 9 pounds. Really happy with my results so far. I have been focusing on cooking more of my meals and I really think that it is starting to pay off. This weekend my friends and I are going to Big Bear for Ocktoberfest. My goal is to limit my drinking to just 2 beers, pack a ton of fruits and…

Week 0 - 239.7 Week 1 - 237.9 Week 2 - 232.1 Total loss - 7.6 Freaking out a little since my weight loss from week 2 to week 3 was more than I expected. I am hoping that the 5 workouts this week and the clean eating is what is making this happen and not some fluke. Either way, full steam ahead.

SW - 241 CW - 235.5 Total lost - 5.5 Still on track to lose the 25 lbs in 14 weeks. This week my focus is on cooking more healthy meals at home and my first 5K this weekend. @losingw8now - the scale is moving in the right direction. Just keep your focus and you'll do great.
-
@alexanda365 - Awesome job! You are off to a great start. This past week went well for me overall. I had a few days were I ate out at restaurants or fast food places. I definitely made healthier choices (i.e. Subway instead of a burger, steak and veggies instead of pasta) and I curbed my drinking to just 2 beers but I…

The first week has been going great so far. Right now I am focusing on my first 5K this Saturday morning. Wish me luck! @jessicaerin13 - I too have realized how important it is to pre plan. Last night I cooked and cut up a whole bunch of fresh vegetables, fruit and lean protein. Next I am going to buy a ton of tupperware.…

I am also getting into running but not necessarily following any sort of program. Right now I am focusing on completing running and walking intervals that feel natural for my body. My goal is to decrease my overall 5K time by increasing my total run time and decreasing my total walk time. Right now I am alternating running…

Hello, hello, hello. My name is Tiffany and I am 33 years old living in Los Angeles, CA. July 2013, I decided to finally get serious about my weight loss, again (I lost 70 pounds in 2006 while on Weight Watchers but have gained it all back). I just joined MFP yesterday, found this challenge and instantly joined the group.…
