  • Day 1 Fit Test Numbers: SK: 56 per leg PJ: 44 PK: 87 PJ: 31 GJ: 5 SJ: 15 PUJ: 15 LPO: 54 Pretty happy with these results. . .suicide jacks and push-up jacks are the hardest for me by far and made me feel like I was going to die by the end of the minute. Ha!
  • My name is Amanda - my husband and I did the Fit Test tonight and are starting Insanity for the first time. He is really out of shape. . . I have been steadily working out and losing weight for almost a year now. My fit test results were pretty good. So far I am really excited. I needed something new workout-wise and I…
  • i am starting it soon. . . not sure when. i want to try the fit test though because i watched it and i am excited to see where i am. i will send you a request to be friends. . . i always post about my workouts.
  • I do BodyPump and I LOVE it. So much better than lifting weights on my own or using machines! I am 5'6" and I currently weigh 196 (down 29 lbs since April!!!) and I burn 600-700 cals in a 1 hr pump class. I am using moderate weights. It is not intimidating. It is AWESOME. It is so fun and gets that important strength…
  • I am on week 7 and there is no HIIt this week. I miss it!
  • fire 30 today - was so much easier than the first time I did it. I love getting more endurance and being able to really push myself more each week.
  • Fire 45 yesterday and Fire 55EZ today - completed. Love this program! It really is fun and a great way to get the work done at home before starting my day. I am adding some other stuff into my routine this week. I already swim 2-3 times a week which I will continue to do (sometimes I replace an EZ workout with swimming)…
  • Also - I timed my 4x100 IM and I was only slightly slower on that which surprised me. . . averaged about 2:20 for a 100 IM, resting 45 seconds in between.
  • I did my 4x100 Free test set on Friday. I am SLOW. My first 100 came in at 1:50, then 1:47, then 1:55, then 2:02. Ugh. I did them on the 2:30 because I was dying. Speed might not be my thing. Ha Ha. I did enjoy a longer workout on Friday thanks to emSwanson's training help!!! Looking forward to more challenges for the week…
  • I will do my 4x100's tomorrow a.m. and I bet it'll be on the 2:00 mark. I am slow. I have been swimming consistently since April, but I have been focusing on long, slow swims b/c I started out very out of shape. I adopted the total immersion technique and it is very efficient and relaxing. I think, though, that is…
  • Today was HIIT 20+Sculpt 30 for me. Burned about 522 calories. I am not sure if I will continue doing the sculpt, tone, etc. part of TF. 1) I really don't like exercise bands 2) I would rather strength train in a group class like body pump, etc. sculpt 30 is very bicep-heavy. anyway, it was a nice burn and i always enjoy…
  • I was struggling with depression for the past 2 years until May. Prior to May I took either Prozac or Celexa. Both caused me to gain weight. In May, I admitted it was more severe than ever (and that my low-dose meds weren't getting it) and my dr. put me on Pristiq. It is a newer form of Effexor. It doesn't have a generic,…
  • Today I did HIIT 20 - that is heavy on the legs for sure. I don't remember it being that hard last time, but I know that I am pushing myself harder now, too due to just gaining in strength and endurance. All in all - felt good. And can I just say that I really love Chalene.
  • i am in. .. like the idea of the themed challenges vs. the yardage (you kill me with 3000+!!!). cool! thanks for doing this. . . it'll be a good way to shake things up.
  • Hey - I am new to this group. I started TF on July 21. . . so for me today was Day 1 of Week 4. Today I had Fire 45. That class has the hardest choreography for me, I think. . . the boyfriend song has me chanting "side, front, side" over and over again to keep up. I have gotten a couple of days behind due to different…
  • I just finished week 1 of TF and I love it. Feel free to friend me. I am finding the choreography falls into place about the third time I do a workout (I have only done Fire 30 3x and I feel very comfortable with it now). I can already see a difference in my endurance. Great program.
  • I want the convenience of protein shakes after a workout, because I often feel kind of turned off of food after a hard workout, but i know i need to eat. i also get sick of eggs, sick to death of chicken, and just really want the convenience of the shakes after i workout. i will keep trying. thanks for the opinion on…
  • so is shakeology better? i have tried all kinds of combos of fruit, juice, milk, almond milk, etc. i just cannot make a shake i can drink and even remotely enjoy. i would love to hear what shakeology tastes like, texture, etc.
  • I have tried aqua jogging with the belt, and honestly i like it better without the belt. literally just pump your arms and "jog" in the deep end. burns tons of calories (400+ in 30 minutes if I really push myself). i had a friend who was training for a half marathon, got injured, continued training for it in the water by…
  • Can I safely do NROLFW along with TurboFire? I just started TurboFire last week. . . I am mostly concerned about the book's constant reminders about resting at least 48 hours b/w workouts, etc. TurboFire is pretty much six days a week. He does say in the book that a kickboxing-type cardio, which TurboFire is, would work…
  • I just started TF about a week ago and so far I really like it. I will be doing strength training (I use hand weights at home and have a few circuits that I use) in addition to TF. I just feel like I need to do that because I like the way strength training makes me feel. TF really does work your core and back muscles,…
  • okay ! thanks for clearing that up - i like the concept!
