Beautiful transformation. You look much younger, too.

I'm aiming for 1500-- my guideline is 300 breakfast, 400 lunch, 500 dinner and two 150-calorie snacks (afternoon and nighttime), with any leftover calories available to me late at night, when I especially appreciate them. At first I was trying to do 400 each for breakfast-lunch-dinner, but I wanted enough calories at…

Just don't let whoever you go with push you into doing more than you feel ready for.

Congratulations on your amazing success. You look absolutely beautiful, and you accomplished something magnificent in such a short time. Could you write a little more about your simple diet, and what kinds of foods you eat? And what kind of exercise you did?

Wow. Beautiful. I sure wish I'd stuck with it last January.

Haven't heard of that weight loss plan, but STANDING OVATION for going through such a grueling program and starting a new career in your 50s. If you can get through that, you can accomplish getting those 50 pounds off, for sure! Especially since now you'll be on your feet more!
-
THANK YOU for posting-- you have given me hope! You are so beautiful!

Sent you a request. : )
-
WOW-- you really do look so much younger-- and your increased energy and confidence shines through. Amazing transformation.
-
Thanks for those great words and for sharing your experience! You sound and look full of strength and energy.
-
Wow, how are you losing so fast?
-
Wait, what? You need to gain weight, but if you eat vegetables you're afraid of going over your limit? At this point, if you're underweight, why are you even worried about a limit? Eat! Enjoy! Seriously doubt that anyone ever gained weight because of vegetables, anyway. : )

This is ridiculous. There are also people discussing alcohol here, which could be dangerous for alcoholics. There are people discussing desserts, which could be deadly for me as a 300-pound dessert lover. There are people discussing depression, which could set someone off who is likewise depressed. There are people…

My daughter's grown up and married, but she's still my main motivation, along with the someday grandkids that I want to be here for. My daughter doesn't remember my mom. I know what it's like to lose a bunch and then gain a bunch. In my case, I gained a bunch more. Am older now and it's going to be harder but it's got to…

Thanks for the reminder that we don't need to make it more complicated than it has to be. I love how you said you lost it mostly from just counting calories.
-
WOW, STANDING OVATION!! I wasn't able to see what you're eating, but would love to know! You can also just make your diary open. I'm going to send you a friend request so I can follow your journey. I've been having a hard time getting started, but you have shown me that a lot can be accomplished in 3 weeks.

Thanks to TeaBea for the link to Jessica Smith videos! She is great, I hadn't seen her before.

A few more that I thought of. Those who are in good shape may laugh, but trust me, these are helpful for those of us with lots to lose. 1. Just slowly sit down into a chair, then slowly stand up, then slowly sit down again, and keep repeating that. Doing it slowly helps utilize different muscles and make you stronger. 2.…

I am also extremely overweight and just starting. I can always tell that someone has no idea what it's like to be extremely overweight when they say, "Start by just walking," as if walking is nothing. Those people, though they mean well, should try taking a walk with a 150-200 pound weight vest on. Your hips, knees, and…

The ones I have a hard time getting rid of are my thin clothes. Even though I've let go of a lot of them, I have bins full of clothes in every size from 10 up to 24 (which I currently wear). Some of these clothes I have had for well over a decade. I schlep them around with me whenever I move, and currently, in the tiny…

I just finished reading a book called The Microbiome Diet, which talks about both fermented foods and fiber and how crucial they are for feeding the good bacteria in your digestive system. Nearly all cultures (no pun intended) eat some type of fermented food. So much of what we typically eat feeds the bad bacteria (excess…

Oh, you darling girl, I am in tears reading your story. First, to see the light in your eyes now and the smile on your face-- those stand out as much as your amazing physical changes. What a beautiful young woman you are! You are my daughter's age, and so the story touched me even more deeply because of that. I am 60 years…

There is not much you can do except to sit her down, look her in the eye, and say, "I love you. I need you. I'm worried about you. Please give your body the fuel it needs to stay healthy... for yourself and for your family that loves you." After that, the ball is in her court.
-
Thanks for posting your experiences-- very helpful.

Man, what an inspiring story. If you could do it, with having to learn to walk all over again, I can certainly do it. Thank you.

Thanks for sharing your success with this. It's actually supposed to be VERY healthy to do intermittent fasting like this (long period without eating). It gives your body a chance to repair cells and such. I don't know if I could do it because I get really uncomfortable and muddy-headed if I don't eat every 3-4 hours, but…
