Hey there - First congrats on committing to make a change for you! When you have kids, convenience is key or you won't be consistent. I LOVE T25, there's never a reason NOT to do it and he makes it easy for everyone. I'd love to be your mentor, feel free to request me on here. I've been involved in fitness since I was 15…

Hey there!!! Weekends can be brutal, I learned it's all in my mind set, I am continually talking to myself "do I really want this, is it worth it? What's my reason for doing all this? Etc" and finally I realized the food I was consuming wasn't worth feeling the way i was feeling.. I got myself moving.. really started…

For me I prefer hot weather to cold (anything under 50) I have asthma and the lung burn is unbareable.. the humidity and heat doesn't seem to effect me at all and i love that feeling of sweating everything out!

Congratulations!!! You look fantastic and SO happy!! Keep up the good work!

I'm always happy to take friend requests as long as the motivation goes both ways :).. I'm on day 242 and feel so much better than I did in May! It's all about consistency and being accountable to ourselves. I love to help others on this journey to healthy!

I'm 5' 9" & 40.. I'll be honest, when I first started REALLY watching everything, it took weeks for my body to figure it out. It was like it was waiting for me to fall right back into my old habits, but once I kept my consistency (averaging 1400 cals a day) and keeping my carbs/protein and fat in check i really started to…

Get an HRM, I was able to get a great deal on heartratemonitors.com. Makes this a bit more accurate and extremely motivating when you see what you burn :)

You did NOT blow it... repeat after me.. you did NOT blow it.. did you make a poor decision.. yep, but that didn't blow all the work you did in 3 days. It's a lesson learned. Drink more water, that was my go to when I first started this journey, anytime I wanted to eat, i grabbed water even crystal light if I needed flavor…

feel free to add me! I'm starting with small goals as losing weight is INCREASINGLY hard for me due to some medical issues i'm recovering from. I work out 5-6 days a week if I can I'll do two workouts a day. I eat roughly 1200 a day and am going to try NOT to eat back exercise cals to get this weight off. Any…

I'll send a request - we can all use more cheerleaders for this journey!

I'm starting work out 6 (going into my 6th Week) of JMBR.. I'm able to get through the workouts pretty well (have had to make minor adjustments due to a hand/wrist injury) but I keep up w/ her on everything and if there's a move I can't do I replace it with something on the same level of difficulty. I haven't lost a pound…

Try using Almond Milk (unsweetened) as your substitute. It's always good to watch everything you put in your body and learn subsitutions for some things. I noticed the same when i used 2% milk and the Almond milk (unsweetened) helps! :) Good luck

in everything I've read and been told it's better to keep your NET calories as close to or above the 1200 mark as possible especially if you are working out.

Something you need to say to yourself every day (I know I do) - "Only I can get the body I want by working at it and putting good things in my body" - You can do this, it's something we need to focus on EVERY day and when we reach our first goal, we need to set another so we don't get lazy. Best of luck to you :)

First off.. you should see this as a HUGE accomplishment, NOTHING to be ashamed of, everyone on here has the same goal, so Congrats on your first accomplishment!!! Second, YOU Can do this, tell yourself this every minute of every day. Everyday is an opportunity to learn something new, realize what we can do better and…

When I take my rest day i stay active (hiking, yard work, housework, family fun day etc) I don't do my normal Cardio/strength routine. When I take the rest day I find that I am able to work harder/stronger the day i return.

I've noticed the same thing with the site, I've been trying to stay on track since the beginning of the year and one thing or another would deter my focus. I was getting back on the getting healthy/losing weight wagon and saw this quote "Convince yourself that you are worth the time to make the changes you need to be…

Count me in!! I started yesterday but need the "accountability" of others knowing I'm doing this :) .. I have an elliptical at home I'll use in addition to the 30 DS.. I'll probably incorporate some Zumba and other cardio activity.

I started Jillian's 30 Day Shred last night.. am happy to say that today I am sore!! My gym closed about a month ago and instead of pushing on I turned into a slacker :) Jillian's DVD is going to change that I think, given the posts I'm reading and the results! I hope to stay in touch w/ all of you.
