I'm with you, and yes food can be an addiction. If I eat sweets that is all I want, I have to careful and have will power!

Welcome this is a great site! As for motivation, find a fun group class that you can do, or jsut start walking once weight starts coming off you will get to your motivation quickly!

One other note: please don't cut out all junk, teach portion control!! I was never overweight as a child, but my mom didnt really allow junk and soda...let me tell you when I got out on my own and could have whatever I wanted! Please don't go off her BMI, I hate that number. Teach her proper nutrition, limiting the junk and keep her active. Once puberty hits her in a couple of years that baby fat is going to melt off. Great job everyone! I worked out 4 times before I got the dog bite, off for remainder of week, though I may try some upper body today, maybe punches and crunches!! But I was down today, 1.4 lbs so I will take it :love:

So I am out for at least a week, this bite is on the back of my knee and I tear it open every time I move bend my knee or straighten, not to mention swelling! But I will be back next Wed. I hope and will repeat week 1 I think as I am not a good runner in the first place! On a good note I lost weight still this week!

That is a highly debated topic here! I have tried both ways and I now try to eat some of them back, but not all! I tend to net around 1000 cal. and am loosing weight on this. Also, don't be too strict, find some treats! It is ok to have them just build them into the day...example I had an ice cream sandwich the other day…

Well, I would say for one you are not eating enough calories! Numbers fro males should run around 1500 min. You might open your diary so people can see what you are eating. I went out W1D2 yesterday and got bit by a dog about 3/4 of the way through, right on the back of my knee. Do any of you that run outside ever deal with this? Un-leashed dogs? if so what do you do? I am off for a few days to let this heal some and then will get back to it!

Remember healthy weight loss is 1-2 lbs a week so you are doing great. Are you eating exercise calories back? If not try that and make sure they are "quality" calories!
