Bulger wheat, Nakd bars, Ella's kitchen fruit purees, falafels, unsalted nuts, smoothies, half fat sausages, reduced fat cheddar and lots more but I basically just eat less of what I used to and exercise so much more.

I've found the MFP figure agrees pretty closely with the Runtastic app I use on my phone which takes account of speed, distance and weight. I don't bother with the HRM for cycling as I'm commuting but I do use it for running and the running figures tally also.

It's not a contest, it's your health. If you lose take it with good grace and celebrate that you have both lost weight.t

I was obese when I started the C25K programme and merely overweight when I finished but I wouldn't recommend running more than 3 times a week. Your muscles need time to recover and your joints are taking quite a pounding with the extra weight. Try a low impact exercise - I cycle to work which is 30 minutes twice daily - on…

Also look into Tai Chi and CHi Qong

There are several things you can try. I find peppermint oil pils quite helpful, hypnosis tapes for the stress and for IBS in particular and exercise will help with the stress.

Why not hire a bike? It must work out cheaper than freight charges.

Yes, run outside. In the sun, the wind, the rain. Connect to the real world. You've gotten so far and it seems a shame to waste it.

I was obese when I started running. Coupled with cycling and dieting used this website I was merely overweight in 2 months, within normal parameters in 4. I used the C25K program which alternates running and walking, gradually increasing the amount of time running.

I echo the above. When it hurts, slow down. If its still hurting before your next run, consider a few days or even weeks off. Have a look at Chi running. It changes the way you place your weight and takes the stress off the joints.

It's important to allow your muscles time to repair so 3 times a week is plenty. You could try another exerceis on the off days such as the 100 pushups programme.

There are websites that can match you up with jogging pals, you try one of those even though it might take a while to find someone. Or, how about joining a running class or club?

In another forum I frequent it's the Britons who are argumentative to the dismay of the Americans.

Most people didn't notice until I had lost nealy 3 stone adn then they were interested in how I was doing it.

I manage to control it with fibre. I take 6 teaspoons of Benefibre dissolved in my tea each day, it's flavourless and can be added to all sorts of things. Stress control is important so exercise will help and I also used some self-hypnosis tapes. If I do get bad or think i'm going to get bad I take peppermint oil capsules…

I had the same experience when my hat blew off yesterday and I realised I'd dropped a hat size!!!

No amount of lights would have prevented me being knocked off last week. The driver made a fast left turn from the right hand lane at the traffic lights I was crossing. He wanted to cut in front of the traffic in the left hand lane going straight on or he would have been stuck. He said he didn't see me but I suspect he…

I got my hand x-rayed and there was nothing broken. I will see the doctor if it's still sore in a day or so but I don't think I'll get any more advice than I got from the nurse in A&E.

Try http://www.my-calorie-counter.com/Calories_Burned/music-playing-accordion.asp.This may not be your instrument but its mine. I think you'd be hard put to play continuously for an hour so its probably not worth logging. I have seen other sites with similar info. Off to burn some calories soon.

Though not as calorie consuming as running you could try cycling. Make it part of your journey, ie commuting to work or a small grocery shop. The steering will work on your upper body.

Hi, I'm Paul in London. I've been losing weight since April by running, cycling, tai chi and dieting. I'l be preparing to switch to a maintainence diet and start some strength building exercise.

fteale. I am not an idiot. I have been saying THINK all my life and so did my family before me. Judas Priest are hardly the best scholars of English. It's one thing saying it makes no sense, it's entirely another to insult those whose opinions differ.

THINK. It simply means 'you are wrong, think again'. 'Thing' doen't make sense - what is the thing that is coming?
