I loved the book. I don't know anything about the show. If you are expecting it to be about dieting/body positivity, you may be disappointed. Those are related side issues in a larger commentary about the objectification of women's bodies.

I have had 3 c-sections (one pregnancy was twins), and I find that lifting weights has helped a lot. I still have it, but I can hide it pretty well in clothes. I can tuck it into underwear or a swimsuit bottom and the rest of my belly looks flat. Sorry, I know that sounds gross and tmi!
The absolute best advice you've gotten is to get your kids to sleep more. Like 3-5 hours a day more. If you genuinely feel like this is an impossibility, or don't know where to start, check out this book. Don't just browse and skim. Put the kids to bed, sit down and READ IT, and then put it into action the next…

Beef or turkey jerky and greek yogurt.

I haven't, but a friend of my husband's dropped his in a port a potty. He actually went after it and retrieved it! Eww...I would have left it.

I have a little, but nothing extreme. I was a slight apple (38-32-36), and now I am a rectangle (34-28-34). I will never be a pear because of my bone structure, but it is hard to tell exactly where fat will come off and lifting can help a little.

This happened to a friend of mine in yoga class. She fanned the air in front of her and pretended like it was a fart!

Use it to wrap a round of brie topped with your favorite jam and bake it. Serve with fruit and crackers. This is high in calories though, but it is a good appetizer. You can just have a small amount of it!

Pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin smoothies, mixed w/ yogurt, mixed w/ oatmeal, and you can replace some of the oil with it in muffin and cake recipes.

These wasabi deviled eggs are always a hit when I make them: http://www.marthastewart.com/315419/wasabi-deviled-eggs

Good god, woman, I can't stop checking out those guns! Now what was the question again?

If you like seafood, ceviche is great to make. I have made it with shrimp, tuna, and snapper. I like it on a tostada or with plantain chips.

I have four: 7 year old twins, a 4 year old, and a 3 year old. One of my twins has special needs (mild cerebral palsy).

BMI and body fat % are not the same thing. You can be "skinny fat"--that is have a high body fat %, but not be overweight according to BMI standards.

Yes, I am surprised but what was considered bulky too. I think some of it is after working out and gaining an appreciation for how much work it takes to get those bodies, you gain an appreciation for the bodies themselves. At least that is the case for me. I am more in awe of the "bulky" set of women. I also find it…
Unless you have a pre-existing issue, and use correct form, there is no reason not to do OHP or bench press. Your trainer diagnosed your injuries?
No, I went to an ortho. surgeon first who referred me to a physical therapist to give me exercises to rehab. the shoulder injuries. I will stick to the…

I would like to know this too. I am recovering from biceps tendonitis and tendonitis of the supraspinatus (I think that's what the PT called the injury). On a related note, my PT was very anti overhead press and anti flat bench press in general because he felt they cause shoulder impingement problems. He said many…

I wear gloves because I don't like getting calluses, but I didn't find that is helped my grip any. I have never tried chalk or liquid chalk. I have found that using a mixed grip has been helpful, however.

Thanks, this is helpful. You look great. Did you also follow a particular diet? Did you just make sure to get adequate protein and eat what you want, or did you cut out processed foods, etc?

Start with cold water, so your eggs do not crack. Bring to a boil and then turn off the water. Let the eggs sit for 12 minutes. Take out and put them in an ice bath--makes it easy to peel them. This yields perfect, non-rubbery eggs with no weird greenish brown color on the yolks.

Spaghetti squash. Lima beans are kind of gross too.

I don't make them from scratch, but I love the Nature's Rancher brand turkey burgers. I get them in the frozen section at Whole Foods. They are the only brand I've found that I like.

You can also drag a bench into the squat rack and set up the safety pins so you won't be pinned if you can't get the bar up. I do this all the time because I hate having to ask for a spotter and because I have gotten pinned by the bar before!

I think I have a way that might make the resistance bands with handles that they have at the gym work. I was reading about people using them with caribiner clips. If I am remembering right I think there might be some kind of clips on the pull-up bar at the gym, but I didn't really notice them because they were attached to…
-
Thanks, this makes it easy, but wow the prices--$25 for basically a big rubber band! I've tried doing negatives, but the pull-up bar at the gym is really high for me. Even with the stool they have for you to use, I can't get above the bar!

I agree. You can google some stretches and exercises you can do to get some relief.

Mr. Burns: Look at that pig. Stuffing his face with donuts on my time! That's right, keep eating... Little do you know you're drawing ever closer to the poison donut! There is a poison one, isn't there Smithers? Smithers: Er... no, sir. I discussed this with our lawyers and they consider it murder. Mr. Burns: Damn their…

Thanks! That is good to hear. I will give those exercises a try. Stretching has helped it feel better.
