  • butt lift......happening to me too with all the squats and lunges...totally noticeable...but, I like it..:))
  • ^^^ I love these...very yummy and filling.
  • Dear God, that's amazing (immediately surfing the site)....
  • I agree with earlier poster...protein shakes help take the edge off. Might try some chocolate flavored and put it in light chocolate milk. Keeps me from eating too many carbs.
  • bump...for a friend
  • Did ripped in 30 for the first time last night....I'd done 2 levels of 30DS (got bored..lol), and it's a lot like that one. I ordered 3 of her videos together. They are nice because they're only around 20 minutes. I love going to the gym though, so I throw in one of her videos here in there on my rest days. I found ripped…
  • That's reassuring to hear...thanks for adding that! I really LOVE lifting, but have gained 3 lbs...little worried about that. It might just be other factors too....congrats on the 11 lbs.
  • I'm in the same boat, atm. About 10-15 pounds to go to hit my goal, but I'm weight lifting too (and gaining a few pounds). My clothes are feeling looser, but it's always a bit frustrating to try to let go of the scale and go by measurements and the way clothes fit. That number on the scale always seems so…
  • Oh dear God.....that is frightening.
  • Mentally yes....if I don't exercise for a week, I can already notice my attitude and well being sliding down hill. It just does wonders for me...puts me in the best mood. Physically, eh, some days I wanna get lazy, but then I remember how much it helps me and drag my *kitten* in there. I never regret it.
  • I run a daycare. This week we are trying to trap the St. Patrick Leprechaun. We set a trap, and he's been leaving us green treats on and off all day. The kids keep trying to find him. Not long ago we celebrated Mardi Gras, which confused one of my little girls today when she said: "I think I just saw that 'ol Mardi Gras…
  • Excellent, excellent job! Congrats!
  • awww...that's an excellent NSV! Great job!!
  • Awesome that you had such a quick come back. Great response. I'd have been in such shock, I'd have probably just stood there and said nothing. The older I get the more I think the majority of the human race are loons in one form or the other....myself included of course...lol. I've become rather unsocial because of it.
  • Awesome job..you look fantastic..!
  • Start RIGHT NOW. Seriously. You will NOT bulk. Promise. Just keep watching those calories and you'll do great with any added strength training.
  • "Free weights are LESS effective than machines which is why they make machines." This is not true, from my experience anyway. Free weights (barbells exercises especially) work the whole body. Machines provide isolation exercises. Squats/deadlifts/barbell rows/lunges, etc....you're working your whole core. Hence, even your…
  • Here's a good site...straight forward exercises...simple to follow: http://www.simplyshredded.com/the-ultimate-female-training-guide.html People also often suggest stronglifts 5x5 ... can google it. Youtube is your friend. Great lifting videos there....will show you the perfect form to use for each lift. Good luck!
  • LIFT HEAVY! Best way ever to sculpt that body. YOU WILL NOT BULK!!!
  • Im a late night snacker and it kills my diet. I've found when I eat apples and pb or oatmeal late in the evening, it fills me up, but doesn't affect the scale. I like popcorn too, but only problem with that is that it makes me want more and more and more.
  • I didn't know there were actually people in the world who hate PB! It's freaking yummers....
  • I started heavy lifting at the rack 3 weeks ago, and I'll never go back. In three weeks, I feel stronger, my workout shorts are getting very loose (losing inches obviously), and my mental health is at it's peak. Endorphins are freaking awesome. I had been doing lots of squats and lunges, etc before heading to the bars, but…
  • My doctor did warn me that the steroid creme would thin out the skin where you are using it. Need to be very careful. I decided against it. Still think you should try my suggestion early in the thread before you consider a prescription. After a few weeks of using the Raileigh salve, I rarely have to use it anymore, and my…
  • I get eczema on my hands, ankles and sometimes a bit on my eyelids. My hands were really bad at one point. Read about trying utter cream, which I thought was weird as hell. But, my Mom actually ran across some at my grandparents house and brought it home. I used it....freaking miracle. You don't want to use this every day…
  • Right now I'm doing a 12 week program from the Simply Shredded website. I workout Tue/Wed/Fri/Sat ... switching off on upper and lower body. On the days I do upper body, I get in at least 1/2 hour of added cardio. I drink whey protein shakes...I usually add frozen fruit/baby spinach and chocolate soy milk....once a day. I…
  • OP, how old are your children? When mine were small, they always ate well....I run a daycare....we are required to serve fruit, veg, bread, milk, meat each main meal. I'm well versed in good nutrition. I kept the crap out of the house. Both my boys were fit. Enter junior high....can't watch their every move anymore. The…
  • Just don't. Do NOT do it. I would never ask this of a good friend. It's not fair to you. If you lose the friendship, it may be that it wasn't as solid as you might have thought.
  • It's hard.....I have the same situation at home....two teen boys...one is very fit, rarely gets into junk food. The youngest is the opposite, and he doesn't like to exercise either. I hit the gym 4 days a week. He used to come with me, but hasn't for a long time. He did do baseball conditioning which was great exercise,…
  • Try it barefoot.....took loads of pressure off my knees for some reason. I've ran across many women who agree. Give it a shot. I also used a rebounder (mini tramp) for the jumping jacks, etc. that were bothering me.
  • Classes are a lot of fun, so get in there and try one. I'd suggest that a spinning class may be the least intimidating as you are just sitting on a bike. It can be a very hard workout, but there aren't a bunch of different moves to learn, and the clothing is pretty basic...just some comfortable biking shorts or even longer…
