I use the hula hoop. It has helped since I gave birth to tighted up my middle a bit. I have a library of fitness dvd's but I LOVE this website. it's free and helps change up workouts without…

anti-inflamatory (advil), heat, stretches (yoga/pilates). Repeat. It is old fashioned... also, a massage followed by drinking LOTS of water/green tea to wash out the lactic acids that have built up and then been released back into your system following the massage.

the gym machine estimates are not accurate. the HRM readings are more accurate. I found the same thing and realized why I was having no progress and needed to push it up a notch. I ended up becoming competative with myself and pushing more by having my Polar FT4! I just had to replace the battery for the first time after 3…

Don't push through it, it will become worse. HEAT is what you need. If it doesnt go away after rest and lowering your weight load then you may need to go to the doctor. You may have strained your tendons/ligaments and only time can heal them. You may want to find another exercise routine for your arms in the meantime.…

good if your a beginner. It will get you to intermediate if done correctly. Waste of time if you are already in shape and trying to get more fit. I used it after I was well enough post-partum. IT whipped me back in shape to be able to do her more advanced DVD's and start running again.

I used to do summer sand soccer leagues when I was a teenager, running/playing in sand was killer. But, boy was i in shapre. Loved growing up on the coast.

I'm gearing up for the 1 year anniversary since my mother's death last Febuary. I was 6 month pregnant at the time. She died of complications from Parkinsonian Muscular System Atrophy. It is a neurological disease that is caused by environmental factors (like the pesticides her family farm used in the 1950's that are now…

i was a gym monkey for years, then when I was pregnant I developed pre-eclampsia and couldn't work out. After the birth of my daughter I had to take it easy for a while, I have about 10 more lbs ot lose till the pre-baby weight is back. I'll be at 130 again. I may be joining a gym again to start lifting again. I need the…

yeah, I hula hoop. the impact from the hoop hurts for a few days then your body gets used to it. it will go away. take an advil and it helps to have a thick shirt on when it hurts. just bite through it or take a day to let your body heal.

I use a Polar Heart rate moniter. I love it. I just ran out of battery power on it after 2 1/2 years of using it almost daily. I think that's pretty dang good. I liked it because the model I got specifies stats based on gender, age, height, weight, and uses the chest heart rate strap. It is pretty accurate. Amazon is where…

it is in the food database... look it up by the type (white wine, rose wine, red wine, etc). White wine is clear, red is, well, red, and rose looks like a clear-ish red. :) I prefer white and when I put it in I type in White Wine.... it may vary but only by a few calories. Besides the average serving size is 5-6 oz.

^ what she said. after having my baby my tummy is looser than it was and bulges out more, even though it is almost where it was pre-baby. it's just not as tight and the skin has give now. It'll never be the same...

I know how you feel. my husband is not overweight, and barely has an ounce of fat on him. I was 125 when we met, I'm 140 nos (7 months postpartum). I've been working hard to lose the weight, it's coming off slowly. BUT! once a week or so, he brings home donuts or bagel for breakfast after dropping our daughter off for…

If you do not use those muscles they atrophpy.... most people with desk jobs don't use them so they turn to mush and don't hold a pleasant shape and buldge over straps that confine the area (bras). Push ups, planks, weight workouts that target the arm and upper back work great. www.fitnessblender.com has husdresds of free…

I would stay away from the carbs in the evening. I've noticed that that seems ot work for me when i'm able to lose weight. Also, push up those veggies. This week my husband made bean/beef chilli no veggies really (green ones at least). So, I put a fist full of spinach in a bowl and 1 serving of the chili on top. Made it…

that is a good idea... putting the picture of one of them where you put your sweets. Brings a little perspective to ones 'splurges'. I might do that. I wont be watching it.and it is because it will make me feel bad about myself, i'm honest about that. i'm 15 lbs from my pre baby weight. and every time i put on my club…

yeah, they are really tired. Try upping your nutrients, and rest a day or two and do yoga or something. Drink lots of water too.
-
I'd do a light run or brisk walk... too much stillness right after the workouts will cause the muscles to be more sore from lactic acid build up. It will get the blood flowing and stretch you out. Remember, drink lots of water!

In my experiece, and given advice from my former cross country coach, any aerobic exercise will help with the pain... as it's the contractions of the uterus. I would try walking briskly. I usually push through it and run, but, mine aren't that painful usually. In your case I'd take a pain killer and walk briskly.
