I relate... I've been here on MFP for awhile now but I still have over 100lbs to lose! I don't want to be super small, I just want to be able to make weight for the military before I get too old. (I do mostly cardio exercise... I really want to get more into strength training and stuff like sit-ups, running, and so on.)

I would love to do this, but I seem to have difficulty when I have high weight loss goals for myself, even when I know I am logging my exercise and food intake accurately. Hmm. I will try... I want to lose 100+ pounds this year so I can achieve my main goal. I wish everyone the best!

"Crock pot enchiladas" are great, but I will have to ask my mom for her recipe or find one for you. I have a lot of great crock pot recipes bookmarked on my laptop. I promise to return later and link them! I am also interested in this topic, hehe. Anything without mushrooms and such. I also found a great recipe for kalua…

I don't have 200 pounds to lose, but I'm close. My goal is to lose 157 pounds total, to get to 140. I've lost ~29 so far, so… I've got about 128 to go. You can do it… just don't give up! Take it one day at a time, and have faith in yourself. It's a learning process, believe me.

Hello! :) I've only been on here for 100 days (consistently) but I am a daily logger/exerciser. I have lost almost 30 pounds but still have 100+ to go. It's been crazy but I am crazy dedicated to this and I'm also a nice person. :D

I am so sorry for your loss. :( *hugs* You look amazing! Yay for feeling healthier, especially. :D

You are doing great! I started at 297 when I finally weighed in in June, and I'm now at ~272 and hoping to be below 270 when I weigh in on Monday. I still have 130 pounds to lose to reach my ideal goal weight, but I'm not giving up. Be proud of yourself and don't let anyone get you down. Do this for YOURSELF first. You are…

Congrats!! :D (That sales associate sounded like a sweetheart, too.)

I'm geeking out... because I'm finally getting my hair dyed again today. Bleaching again, colour... it's gonna be awesome. Pravana's colours are amazing. I could go on but I'd get so rambly haha. I'm geeking out... because I saw two fry fish (babies!!) in our fish tank and I was able to net them and put them into the fry…

My copy of Sims 3 isn't even all that awesome... I didn't have the money when I wanted it, so you can guess what I did (hint: Arrr. Please no judgey stuff.), so I can't update it. Which sucks. My brother-in-law bought the legit version for my sister, but like I said, they're stationed in Hawai'i... and the youngest sister…

I'm not sure if it will! That would be awesome, though. Well... I just looked at an article on c-net and it seems like a bit of a process. :/ I would just buy AC2 but I don't have the $$ right now. And I still don't understand why AC3 won't work... It freezes on the loading screen. It didn't do that on our prior PS3…

*waves* I'm trying to FINALLY finish the last few classes I need so I can get my AS in Cosmetology and a few other AAs… I think I'll have more trouble convincing myself to stick with one of the classes I'm in (elementary algebra… I SUCK!) than with working out and keeping with portion control and such. I have my…

I did Just Dance 2014 earlier for a workout… and I might play some Sims 3 shortly. I would really REALLY like to replay Assassin's Creed 3 (I beat it already, but.), but for some reason our current PS3 console won't load it. Makes me SO sad… I love AC. I have AC2 here on my MacBook Pro but I've already finished it and…

We have a lot of similarities… same height, similar starting weight, similar current weight, etcetera. :) It's so nice to find people on MFP that I have things in common with! I've been at it for two months now… it's slow going, but I refuse to lose my determination. My main goal next year is to "make weight" to join the…

I second what @kay699 said. :)

Week # 1 – August 4th -- Goal: 420 minutes (either 60 minutes minimum daily of something exercise-y [IDEALLY gym time], or at least a min. 600cal. burn per day, if that makes sense): Mon: 52 minutes on elliptical - 608 calories burned Tue: ~90 minutes slow walk (errands) - ~481 calories burned Wed: ~52 minutes on…

OMG I love that idea. Must try it.

Ahhh dang it. I've been meaning to try making infused water for weeks, but I keep forgetting. I'm so glad I saw this thread. I wish I could make one with raspberries, strawberries, lemon... hmm. :/

I wish I had perfect teeth. (Because I can and will lose all this weight, but I need dentist visits... which gives me BAD anxiety, and I also have no money or insurance right now. If I don't get them fixed... I will reach my weight loss goal but be unable to pursue my major goal of joining the Army/Navy after I get my AS…

I'm in! I want to stay accountable and go to the gym more often, and not let myself slip. Week # 1 – August 4th -- Goal: 420 minutes (either 60 minutes minimum daily of something exercise-y [IDEALLY gym time], or at least a min. 600cal. burn per day, if that makes sense): Mon: 52 minutes on elliptical - 608 calories burned…

*shy wave* My goals: - Get Medi-Cal figured out (for lots of reasons) - Get a job so I can get better workout gear - Get as close to 270lbs as possible - Start working on strength training (as safely as I can until I get a trainer) - Do more than just the elliptical at the gym - Stop staying up late (even with my 2 foster…

Final update for July from me... - I didn't make it to 280, but this past Monday I was 282 and change, so. (I know it's already August, shh.). - Still a terrible night owl, blah. - Still have cravings for junky food, but I am trying to accept them in a way -- if I eat them in moderation and fit them into my daily calories,…

(I still feel kind of bad about using the OP's thread... should I make my own?) Thank you so much for the tips, @jkal1979! :D (Also, THANK YOU for your service.) I am bad at push-ups and sit-ups... and running... so I really appreciate the suggestions of what to focus on. I found http://www.military.com/military-fitness/…

I just meant that… Right now, I'm not in shape to do a PT test of any kind, not just because of my weight. I've been on MFP, exercising, and eating better for only just under 50 days now. I'm doing well but most of my exercise is cardio. I would just like to do more strength/weight training and PT-type exercises, so that…

New to the thread… 27. I'm a crazy cat lady, hehe. I have one cat… well, more, technically, but only one is specifically mine. I also have two foster kittens that are 3-4 weeks old. (If you add me, please include a message.)

I know this topic has been inactive, but I hope I can reactivate it? Anyway… hi. My #1 goal is to be able to finally join the military next year, around this time. I have wanted to for YEARS but never motivated myself enough to get off my butt and work for it. Now I am, and that inspiration has kept me going for over 46…

I still stick by my WinCo rec, hehe. They really do have a lot of great stuff. The bulk section, fruits, veggies, low-cal salad dressing, healthy meats, healthy cheeses, low-calorie oatmeal/hot cereal, almond milk/coconut milk, and a lot more. Plus, if you bring in a bunch of reusable bags, you get a discount per bag (and…

I'm the L in LGBT(QIA+) (my lady is on here too but not active right now), not exactly Pagan (maybe a little) but I love and am fascinated by Paganism (long story), gamer in my own mind but not a very good one (and I want to replay AC3 but can't)... and I am definitely a geek to the core. I love art, music, books, tea...…

I spoke to an awesome nutritional consultant at Clark's Nutrition, and to a trainer at my gym, and they both said that the hydrolyzed whey protein isolate powders are some of the best due to easier digestion. Right now I'm using the Power Crunch Proto Whey in Double Chocolate, and it is amazing. It's best with some almond…
