  • Hearthstone and trying to actually finish the witcher. Yea I am late to the party with both of them, but I only got a few hours to spare. I will always be "behind".
  • In response to "Have you actually tried CrossFit?" This is a rather weak defence of crossfit. I would wager that few people have tried drinking bleach but they know it is not a good idea. One does not need to try something to have an informed opinion. The notion that someone can not possibly have an idea on something…
  • Crossfit is a fad an expensive one at that, their form is also terrible. Good form exists for a reason, to stop you getting hurt and to get the most out of the exercises. Many of the trainers merely did a quick weekend course after exercising for just a few weeks. They also have a cult mentality and they attempted to…
  • I tried dating websites for a couple of years, got no dates. I spent hours reading profiles and writing a custom message for each profile, in those two years I think only about three people bothered to give me a reply. "I will reply to anyone that takes the time to write me a decent message and not just <Hi> I ignore those…
  • "wearing pants on a sunday afternoon or just underwear? " Pants, but its winter and apartments here have no insulation or heating. Wearing tight brightly coloured underwear ( red, leopard pattern etc) yay or nay?
  • Hi! Coventry born and raised, though for the last 3 years I have lived in China. An' I aint guts na intention ov headin back to blighty.
  • the new xcom, been in my library a while but never played it, got a huge black log so not playing any newer stuff. Buying older games that I have not played saves a ton ^^ I loved the original xcom back in the 90s I like the new one too but it is much more dumbed down but I may just be weird and appreciated the…
  • Getting into a flame war is just pointless especially if the other side is stubborn and ignorant. These days I just ignore them but take delight if there rage is because they got but hurt. Some games are worse than others, I stay away from crap like DOTA2 where players will report you for whatever fake reason they can make…
  • No questions per say just a congratulations. Had to drop around 100 lbs myself, while not as big as 300lbs, big numbers are still daunting. So props for facing that psychological barrier and coming through.
  • Just to add a small tidbit. If you are running for long periods of time that there is a good chance that your body is breaking down muscle to use as energy. Notice how thin marathon runners are?| This smaller amount of muscle will decrease your BMR, which may cause you to run more to use those extra calories which will…
  • I used to estimate what I consumed eventually I got some scales ( not so easy to find in China) and found out I was vastly underestimating what I consumed sometimes by as much as 60%. Get scales, be accurate. For calories burned I used the gym readouts, as some of the numbers on database here seem absurd 30m cleaning…
  • So where I am. The water is filled with heavy metals, bacteria and particulates that is leached in from poor quality water works but by the lowest bidder with unskilled labor. Not to mentioned that usual it comes from polluted sources. The water filters are also ineffective as they are most often imported and thus not…
  • 500 calories is ridiculous, have fun cannibalising your own fat burning muscle and destroying your body with malnutrition
  • Gaining back as well as heatlh concerns are way these gimmicky get thin fast diets do not work,....well they do they fill the pockets of the creators as intended. I started at 274 lbs with a 46" waist and I am now 211 lbs with a 32" waist. I did it without any special diet. Eat right and exercise right; it is all you need.
  • Then I woudl suggest you start at 2000 calories + at least 3 times a week exercise and then adjust from there as you need too. You are looking for slow steady weight loss, fast weight loss is not sustainable and in very large people it can be dangerous.
  • 1600 as a BMR seems a little low, are you sure? Where did you get that number? The blanket recommendation for the average woman is 2000. ( I am including "activity level" and not the lying down doing nothing activity level. Jumping in at 1200 is not recommended it will cause all sorts of problems later and at very low…
  • Everyday as you are doing is ok with one proviso, keep the intensity light. If everyday is a intense/heavy lifting day performance will suffer as you will not have adequate recovery time, which is what it al comes down too. Monitor you body if it seems happy with you routine then all is well, but if performance starts to…
  • BMI is for average people only as it does not take into account body composition. If you work out for strength or play sport you will have more muscle which is heavy than fat and so would give you a higher BMI while still being healthy. This is why BMI is not so useful. Genetics also play a role. By far the more accurate…
  • Nuts are small and portable and loaded with nutrients, you can also use liquid food such as smoothies and protein shakes. I used to work as a waiter 12 hour shifts in restaurants and hotels so I was around food all day it was the same, perhaps even worse since I was in the Kitchen all the time. In the end I just had to…
  • There is no difference between Ramadan and intermittent fasting for the most part so go look that up. Ramadan style fasting is nothing special and many people do this type of fast all day long all year long , year after year.. Myself included when I was staying in Buddhist temples I had to live like the monks and they only…
  • The average woman has about 20% body fat it takes much less for a 6 pack to show, but genetics do play a role in this. However as a rule women with less body fat than this can have fertility and menstrual problems among other things.
  • I just exercise in my underwear, it has served me well..at least at home. Other than that I have just used normal clothes from any old shop that are loose enough to allow movement, saved my bags of cash from having to pay for overpriced named stuff of dubious benefit.

  • I do not do cheat days. It is too easy to slip up especially with junk food. It is better (in my humble opinion) to include your favourite foods (junk or not) into a regular plan and avoid cheat days. Personally I am struggling to eat enough, I am trying to avoid rapid weight loss and do it slowly.
  • Thanks for the welcome, my food diary is public so feel free to see what I get to eat out here ! I do like the gym though that may be due to the rather unusual kind of gym I am at. It is just a handful of regulars all working hard with no BS and no wasting money on overpriced supplements!
