Thank you! Exactly, and by cutting out the middleman you also save $$ so you can buy food to eat properly and maybe a membership at a gym, or a bike, or a treadmill etc.

All great info, folks. I especially like the 80/20 rule mentioned. We are human and not meant to eat bark and sticks and berries everyday. If you eat junk food, balance it out and meet your daily intake number and other more nutritious stuff. If I feel like a donut, I have it with some pure OJ and skim milk. If I have a…

Notice folks are shying away from this post? 9 lbs in one week is not good. And it sounds like you want to share an unsafe product or diet. Not good either. That's why.

Hello Ems and Welcome. Remember, it is not a low calorie diet, just a sensible and healthy new way of life. You can add me as a friend and we can motivate each other. One tip is you should finish filling out your profile information, as it is very therapeutic for you, and helps others looking for support and like minds.…

Welcome and a new friend is just a click away. We can do this and need the support.

Welcome Mitch, you can do this! And remember, you are doing it for you first and foremost. Everything else falls in place when you do that. I am doing it for me, and my wife benefits, my kids have a dad longer, there is more food around the house, lol. Hey, buddy, add me and we got this beat!!
-
Feel free to add me, we believe the more, the merrier. We tend to eat well and get a little bit sweaty at times lol
-
Add me if you like, and welcome. Good luck

I am on day 16 and have lost 7 pounds so far. Already I feel the change in energy and inertia. I stay on my feet more and have only taken two naps, where I used to nap everyday for two hours just to energize. I needed it since I had all that sloppy fat food sloshing around in my belly, making me groggy. Good wholesome…

I had a physical last year and I told the doc I drink one large Monster drink a day, 24 oz I think. He told me point blank to stop right now. At my weight and blood pressure, it was a ticking time bomb. I of course did not listen and one day after drinking one my chest began radiating pain and my heart rate accelerated. I…

First off, you have done a tremendous thing, congrats. Second, our past abuses sometimes come with a cost. Our bodies were put through hell and "some' damage may occur. I know, it is harder for women, as men can flaunt their guts and not many judge them. I am sorry, but it happens. You have come soooooooooo far, so be…

Amen, brother. Eat less than you burn. Burn more than you eat. Simple equation. Some want to complicate it, but it is a universal truth. You CANNOT change the physiology of the human body in that aspect.

Wow, all those things are good in moderation and if used within your allowed calories. Why cut anything? Reduce, yes, but not eliminate. I won't go overboard and eat a tub of ice cream everyday, thereby crossing out much needed nutrients. But, whatever works for you.

For me, 11 days in and 8 lbs down? Just walking is a miracle. And I got 4 miles in this weekend. I am trucking on!

First off, you say you are male and your profile says female, you may want to change it. You should also get a better user name, something not so severe and negative. Just my two cents, if that motivates you, go for it. Maybe a name like I-got-this-22, or Iamworththeeffort-2014, not sinful stuffer. I too have reached the…

Add me, coz I am the same way; and getting worse, or better, as I go along. I am ready to live a new life! God bless.

In some ways I would think OCD would be a benefit on a plan like this. The foods, menus, counting, deducting, planning exercises and research. I don't mean to make light of it, but we are all dealt hands we must deal with, better to make the best of it. Like me, it is hard to exercise due to an injury sustained to my leg…

Name's David, 52, from PA, married with two kids. I need to lose around 160 lbs. Nice place you have here, and anyone needing a friend to lend an ear or vice versa, I am here. Just started last Thursday, 6/19 and already making progress.

Agreed, you are the captain of your own destiny and you owe no one an explanation. And you don't have to lie. Point blank, NO THANK YOU.
-
Yes, you look great! Wonderful job and thanks for sharing.

By the looks of your diary, you seem to have a handle on things. Just try to work in a variety of things and see what helps. I have been munching almonds when I get a craving. They are great protein and satisfy my hunger for crunchiness. I also have come to love baby carrots. I eat around 8 at a time and they help. Nothing…

Hi I am David, and I am a lover of all foods, especially all the bad ones. I started out around 390 with my eye on getting down to 220. I am currently at 379 and feeling much better since starting the program here. Anyone wanting to talk, give advice, get advice or just inspire or be inspired, friend me. I take great…

IMHO, any movement is a positive thing. Try try again is a good motto. I know I don't look pretty doing some things, but I do them anyway. I miss beats, steps etc but I try to keep moving. Walking instead of driving to the bus stop, taking the stairs, marching in place; they all get my heart going and a sheen of sweat.…

Great job and thanks for the inspiration. Nice short hair do too

Wonderful! You deserve to be happy and alive inside and out. Keep up to great work and know that you are somebody. Thanks for the inspiration.
-
Dude, you rock and are an inspiration to me and others. Thank you! I keep coming across these stories and they make me even more determined. I just started at around 390 and need all the inspiration I can get.

My emotion was "LOVE FOR FOOD". I love all types, origins, ethnicity and so on. I love junk food and I would rarely eat vegetables or fruit, unless it was in a stir fry or a topping on pizza. I love desserts, all kinds. It overtook and was just like a drug addiction. Too much was never enough. Too little was not a factor.…

I like to use the burned factor as a cushion if I go over at any point, which I have not done yet. It is kind of like a safety net. It is nice to have if one day you want to cheat a little and have that piece of pie or cake. I do not try to eat any of them back, but keep my intake number as my reference and do all I can to…

Well, it's like anything you buy, you get what you pay for. The more $$ you spent, the better you get. And the more $$ gets you the extras that will give you an average of body fat etc.
-
How about just a cheat meal to treat yourself. Then you can adjust the rest of your meals to allow for it. Remember, it's not a diet, it's a way of eating the rest of your life and you should not go without eating what you like or love. I love ice cream, cheesecake, pizza, brownies, chili dogs, subs, etc and I will be…
