  • Welcome.. you will love this site. Feel free to add me as a friend for support and motivation.
  • Congrats.. way to go.
  • Have you tried a foam roller to roll it out? Also lots of stretching.
  • Good Stuff!! Thanks for posting that.
  • Good job! Another funny thing is once you lose the weight, you are no longer a bath tub stopper. When taking a bath, you gotta keep the drain in or all the water disappears. I once was the stopper and had no need for one! LOL.
  • I agree that is amazing but I would also suggest adding different exercises to work the various muscle groups. Maybe try interval training while walking? Add a jog to it for 30 seconds or however long you can? Try doing other various exercises at home such as jumping jacks, jump rope, sit ups, push ups, etc and see what…
  • Have you tried water aerobics or Yoga? My Mom has FM and I can see her pain when she hurts all over. Start slow when exercising and go for the low impact cardio exercises. Stationary biking might work well too. I would suggest trying various exercises and seeing what works best for you! Good luck!!
  • We all have those bad days/bad weekends. You have to pick yourself back up and realize tomorrow is a new day. Take one day at a time. Try to make healthy choices if you are eating out and plan out your meals as much as you can. Weekends are the toughest for me since I am always trying to avoid eating out for entertainment.…
  • Scream it girlfriend! You deserve to scream as loud as you want! That is freaking awesome!
  • Thanks! They are Asics Gel-Noosa Tri 6 running shoes. I LOVE THEM! I was running in Mizzuno and these are so much better.
  • I think it's personal preference. For me, I deleted all the fat pictures. I don't want to ever see myself like that again!
  • Welcome! Did you hear that Apple has decided to delay production of their new iPod for kids? Apparently the name "iTouch Kids" isn't ideal!
  • Thanks everyone for the feedback. I am thinking this will help me with my training more than anything else at this point. I hate it that I have no idea what my pace is while running outside. The treadmill (I refer to it as some not so nice words) bores me! Thanks for the compliment on my shoes.. Love them. Asics Gel-Noosa…
  • Yes as they would count against your calorie intake for the day :(
  • From a fellow choco-holic - I love the Yoplait delights chococlate yogurt parfait. 100 calories. It is so friggin awesome!
  • Welcome!! I really love this site. And it helps with my munchies. Instead of food, I log on here and see what is going on with the fitness peeps. Feel free to add me for support and encouragement!
  • Sounds like you have kicked your metabolism into high gear! Congrats on reaching your goal weight. If you are still exercising frequently, might cut back on that. Also, there are high calorie supplements you can take to help you gain weight. GNC and Vitamin Shoppe sell them. I doubt I will ever need to do something like…
  • Might try taking a water pill that you can get from a health food store. Otherwise, you might want to check with your doctor as that seems to be a lot of water retainage.
  • Welcome! This is a fantastic site for love and support along the way. Feel free to add me as a friend for encouragement. YOU can do this!!
  • If you pronate and generally wear stability shoes, be very careful running in these shoes. It takes a little longer to get used to them.
  • If you don't go it will make a statement that could ruin your relationship. However, from the way you worded things, it sounds like you might be done with the relationship anyways. If you really care about him, I would go and be supportive. If you don't care if it causes the relationship to fizzle, I would state my reasons…

  • I am addicted too.. the week days I am on here all the time! Weekends not as much as I am busy with the kids. This site rocks!
  • I would do it. Like you, I am a single Mom. I have taken both my 9 (boy) and 10 (girl) out with me to run. It not only provides time to spend together, but always teaches them that exercise is important. Make sure they pace themselves.. as they want to get out their and sprint and wear themselves out quickly. Also, have…
  • So sorry for your loss... hugs!
  • Your heart rate does go up as it is compensating for the heat. My heart rate will go up to about 120 while sitting there. When I get out, it spikes to 130ish. Which the higher the heart rate, the more calories your burn. Now is it productive calorie burn? Probably not. Not sure if sitting in there that long is good. Be…
  • BUY it!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE my polar! It will not only count the calories more accurately, but when you are slacking, your heart rate monitor will show it. Then you push yourself harder!
  • Body weight is excellent for stregnth training - pushups and tricep dips really work the shoulders and arms. You can go pretty far without a huge investment in equipment or joining the gym. Now if you want serious guns, gym equipment is probably what you need. My suggestion is to try body weight.. squats, lunges, pushups,…
  • Thanks for the laugh! Sounds like something I would do!! And hello from a fellow Texan :)
