Today's weight is 285.7

I've lost 2.2 this week.

Qdoba Mango Chicken Salad (naked)= YUM.

I went to ISU in Pocatello. I've never been to the panhandle, but the mountains in central ID are my favorite place in the world! Really want to get a vacation there sometime.

I'd love this--fall is when I'll need to keep up that motivation! CW: 287 Christmas weight goal:225

Really interesting question. My "end goal" is to get to 199, lower than I've been since I came back from Switzerland (was really healthy then!). I was about 220 when I got married, and reasonably happy with that, so I don't know how I'll feel below 200. When I get to that point, I'll reevaluate. Maybe I'll want to lose…

At my last office job I had a very stressful boss. When he would make me crazy, I would take 15 minutes to go walk around the outside of the building. Once, I was headed back in and realized that I was still really frustrated at him, so I went back out for another round. Once I came back in, I was calm enough to be…

I've been using it quite regularly, along with walks around my neighborhood. I usually do 30 minutes of Free Step while I'm watching TV, although a lot of the other games are fun, too.

So I'm late to the party, but I wanted to get in on the Aldi love! They're great for baked chips, baking goods, milk, eggs, butter, lunchmeat & cheese. There is a great produce market half a mile past the one I go to, so I don't usually get a lot of fruits & vegetables there. I'm also not a huge fan of their fresh ground…

Love garlic! Can't wait to get some new recipes!

I'm eating pizza right now! Very thin, homemade crust, mushrooms, red peppers, red onions, & less than 1/2 cup lowfat Italian cheese. If it's takeout, it's usually Domino's thin crust. I get spinach & red pepper on my half.

So today isn't really our starting weigh in, it's the end of our first week, and we put in how much weight we lost since June 5, right? Just double checking, because it's been a long weekend, and I'm a little fuzzy! Edit: really glad I'm a Stark and not a Lannister!

Do we start today or tomorrow?

Great article! I really wish organic milk weren't so outrageously expensive. It would be great if government subsidies went to local fruits & vegetables, but that isn't the way our government works right now. It's all about lobbyists & who has the most money.

A scale that reads body fat sends a tiny electrical current through your body, which is why people with pacemakers can't use them. But the reading is still affected by how hydrated your body is, so I can't say how truly accurate they are.

I need to get back on (heh--I just typed "bacon" instead of "back on" and had to fix it. I think my Freudian slip is showing!) the exercise wagon as well. I'm on my way out for a walk shortly, because it really does set the tone for my day. (I went to high school & college in Idaho, and every time I see your name, I think…

Love the show, love the books, count me in!

Hit my goals reasonably well yesterday. Logged everything, but ended up a little under on calories, a little over on protein & fat. Will try to plan my numbers better today. Got all my water, and over 90 minutes of exercise. Today's goals are pretty similar. I have the day to myself to run errands, clean up a little, and…

I actually started using MFP's food journal instead of just the Excel spreadsheet I've been doing. It's nice to be able to see fat, fiber, protein breakdowns as well as calories. So I think I can say that today, I've been on track. Next up: tomorrow!
-
Reeeeeeally went off track this week. Gained almost three pounds. But I'm already working on getting back in the groove, and I know it will come off again.
-
Today's goal is to eat balanced, log everything, drink my water, spend some time on the Wii, and get a walk tonight, after it (hopefully) stops raining.
-
Didn't get any mileage over the weekend, so it's time to make up for it! 16.17 as of this morning.
-
So don't bring it up. Seriously, if you are trying to be healthier, that in itself is very encouraging! Lead by example, but YOU are the only person YOU can change.

I got two and a half miles today, bringing my total to 10.01. I'm stubbornly posting that extra hundredth of a mile, because it's the last measurable exercise I'll be getting for a few days. Once I'm back from camping with my younger daughter's Girl Scout troop, I'll be back on track!

5'11" here--great thread! When I was in 9th grade, I overheard a couple other girls talking about their weight. "I'm 120, I have to go on a diet." "I'm 125, I'm such a cow!" I thought to myself, "I weigh 140--I'm HUGE compared to these girls!" At the time, I didn't have to perspective to realize that not only was I at…

Between the Wii Basic Step & a nice walk this morning, I got 4.42 miles today.

Both grilled and roasted vegetables are delicious!

Tami, I'm sorry your husband is acting like that. Hang in there and keep doing what you need to do! :flowerforyou:

Now it's REALLY weird. I did another calculator that took waist, hips, wrist, & forearm as well as weight, and it says my body fat is 28.91%, instead of the 39% or 40% I was getting at the other one (just waist measurement & weight). The whole thing is just frustrating to me!
-
That is very unsettling. According to that, I've lost hardly any body fat at all. I started measuring myself in March, and have only lost a few inches off my waist, but I'm still VERY large. Comparing my three months worth of data, I've lost 10 pounds of fat and 18 pounds of lean weight. That really doesn't seem right.…
