  • Old post, I know but I thought I would weigh in. I had Mirena in my 20s for almost 3 years and loved it!!. Got it out when I met my now husband. Got pregnant, miscarried, married, and pregnant again. Went back in the pill after my first son was born, got pregnant with my second son and got Mirena again after he was born.…
  • I’m not pregnant at the moment, that I know of, but we are trying for number 2. I was really sick most of my pregnancy with my son and it took on toll on my workouts but when I felt up to it, I still lifted heavy-ish and jogged several km a week. This time I won’t let the morning sickness get me down, the worst that will…
  • I wish someone had told me how hard it was going to be to lose the baby weight. Turning 30 and having extra weight to lose is hard! My little guy will be 6months next week and we are already planning on trying for #2 around thanksgiving (Canadian Thanksgiving). I gained about 45lbs with Henry and 10 of that was in the last…
  • I'm Sarah, new mom of a beautiful little boy. My goal is to get back to my pre-pre-baby weight by October so we can try for number 2. SW: 228 (day after my son was born) CW: 209.8 GW: 175
  • I feel ya. I gained almost 50lbs with my little guy and 10 of that was in a week due to swelling and fluid retention. I have 20lbs to lose to get to my pre baby weight but 50 to get back to where I was when I was at my happiest. Friend request sent.
  • Hey all! My baby will be 4 months next week and I'm still sitting at the same weight I was when I came home from the hospital. My all time heaviest was 280lbs, got down to 165, then got married and got happy and went back up to 190 and maxed out at 240 the day before I had my son. He was so worth it, but these nasty extra…
  • Hi everyone. My little guy is 8weeks and I'm a stay at home farm mom/wife. I have 20lbs to lose to get back to my previous pregnancy weight and another 20 after that to get to my goal.
  • While I may not have PCOS anymore, I was diagnosed at age 15 and lost a large amount of weight (in a very unhealthy way and developed an eating disorder) in my early 20s and it went away. I know the struggles that come along with it.
  • Check for diastasis recti as well, the separation of the abdominals. Heidi Powell has a great article on her website about checking for it and healing exercises. It's very common in pregnancy. I'm going to get my doctor to double check mine at my 6week post partum check up next week.
  • I'm in. I always go overboard with alcohol consumption and since we are trying for a baby this year, I figure a dry January is a good start for pregnancy and so on. I just really hope no one is planning on bringing punch to my bridal shower next week. Luckily the shower is at my house so I can be sure to have some…
  • Hey there. There was a group here a while ago for 2016 brides, but I guess that fizzled out. My wedding is Febraury 29. Feel free to add me.
  • Hey there, kudos for taking the first step. Even though you have put on some weight since losing your mom, I'm going to step out on a limb and say those 15lbs were definitely worth the 5 weeks of traveling around Oz and NZ. Just learning more about yourself can help with the whole healthy life style. I attempted to move to…
  • You're not alone hun! I had mirena for 3 years but I was never affected by weight gain (I was diagnosed with an eating disorder, so I wouldn't 'let' myself gain any weight.) I had to have mine taken out because it must have shifted and was causing horrible cramping. So back on the pill I went. Hopefully I'll be able to go…
  • While I haven't tried either program in their entirety, I have done the cardio/HIIT days from clutch cut, and oh man is it devastating, you actually have to give it EVERYTHING you've got. No half-assing it. From reviews I have read, clutch cut is a good program but you have to give 110% to get the results that are…
  • Congrats!' My fiancée and I set the date for February next year. He has no excuse to ever forget our anniversary, and no it's not Valentine's Day.
  • Ditto!! My boyfriend is admittedly lazy, understandably he does work long hours (sometimes 14hr days, hard labour and outside all day.) I'm up at 5 30am every morning to go to the gym (mostly because I hate his alarm and I prefer to wake up before it scares the bejeeus out of me.) He's a big boy to start with, well over…
  • I used to work for the Kidney Foundation of Canada and on their website, they have a whole kidney kitchen section with renal friendly recipes. Some of them are really good.
  • From experience I have noticed that most brands of protein powder don't dissolve in anything hot. I make a hot chocolate with protein on really cold mornings. What I do is mix all the powders together and add some cold water to dissolve and form a loose paste, then add the hot water/milk, and enjoy.
  • Hey all. I've been running and lifting for about a year now. Not really focusing on distance anymore, now I'm working on speed and getting better times. I do a split lift 3-4 times a week, HIIT 3x week after lifting sessions, and usually try for 2 longer runs.
  • Hey All, I guess I'd be considered 1 1/2yr recovered from EDNOS. I also debated using this site after the initial diagnosis, but I've found that if I just set my activity level to active, don't log exercise calories, and eat the recommended calroies for my height and weight, I'm less obsessive and it seems to make things…
  • Just did 4 12hr days shifts and now a 12hr night shift then 4 days off. Cannot wait until 7am tomorrow morning.
  • I feel the same way. When I'm working out, whether at the gym or running down the street, that is my time to focus on me and I don't want to have to think about anything else. I don't want to think about what I have to make for supper, or doing laundry or worrying about someone lifting without a spotter. I've asked my…
  • No official date set yet, but a 2016 bride here. I know I have more time than most of you, but I know we can all achieve our goals and each and every one of you will be the most beautiful bride on your special day!!!
  • A Roaring 20s theme sounds amazing. I'm a little jealous. I'm turing 30 in October and I'm the same way with birthdays, mine is just never a big deal. And an 8lb weight loss is awesome. Good job!!
