I want 5 minutes of my life back please.. ok 2 minutes, because I did get a couple of good laughs.
-
I get: Wow, you are REALLY skinny.. and you know what I want to say back......
-
Awesome this thread has continued to grow.. I did a 2 mile sprint followed by a 5 mile walk. Will hit the gym later.. maybe :dizzy:

You're are eating too much. That's the issue. Lots of advise on these 5 pages about how to correct that.

+1 for max effect!! But don't lose more than 2 lbs a week : The MFP police will swoop in and harass you!! A LOT
-
I don't understand why people are not just more helpful, and offer suggestions that are legitimate: See if your psychiatrist will take a few off your hands - problem solved.

I saw someone eat a whole big mac in one bite once.. Took me 2 :)

Seems we have a culprit V This makes more sense

Great post! This is as simple as a lifestyle change that yields long term results. Awesome!
-
I boosted my metabolism as follows: Bought a food scale, weigh my food accurately and completely, eat at a deficit, and go to the gym everyday.. 66 pounds vanished in 5 months.. METABOLISM BOOSTED!
-
Super awesome!! 186lbs is a WHOLE person and then some :) You look great!
-
When I dropped my intake my outtake changed a LOT. Less frequent and less volume. I chalked it up to my body getting used to a new diet and it regulated over time, but still less in = less out :)

Maybe you can wish away your fat. Its too bad excuses don't burn calories. There would be more successful people here. Reminds me of the 3 fat ladies that showed up at the Gym on 1/3. By 1/5 it was down to 2 (fattest one quit coming) and now all 3 are gone. "I tried the gym, it didn't work".... Good luck

Drank Coke Zero .. lost 65 lbs in 5 months.. Did not seem to affect anything.
-
YUM!!! Get your chocolate ON!!!

Welcome fellow San Diegan! I am not sure what is driving your decision for surgery, but there are a LOT of people here who have lost >100lbs and more that >200lbs using the MFP formula: Track your food, eat less than you burn. I have dropped 65lbs in 5 months and am at maintenance. Lots of sweat: No scars
-
why stop at 140? You are on a roll!
-
Plateaus are when you eat more than you burn.... Weigh your food, open your diary, honesty log and eat at a deficit. You should have no problem losing 9 lbs a month using MFP's calculation. Also, make sure you set your activity level correctly. If you do all that, you will lose weight :)
-
Open your diary, weigh your food (everything) Log everything. I suspect you are taking in more than you think. You should be able to lost 8 - 10 / mo pretty easy
-
When I try to read this.. I go: then i was like.....

Eat Less.. Do More..*** All the rest is BULL PUCKY. I dont know why people want to make it so hard. However, you may want to do a cleanse.. shakology, and a water fast just to get started.... <- -60 lbs in 5 months. No tricks. simple***

5 months and 62 lbs ago.....

PS- Its easy to lose your belly: Just lose ALL OTHER BODY FAT YOU HAVE, and right after that, your belly will get flatter. That's just how it is (for me at least) :) Sorry its gross..
-
I made a commitment on June 14th to "get my *kitten* togehter"... Since then I have done what you outline and lost over 60lbs. I am now at maintain, and all it took was a commitment. It sounds like you have done exactly that! Now go forward and conquer!! GOOD LUCK!
-
Nice job. You are doing it right :D It shows too
-
Why not just plug your numbers and activity level into MFP, set your goal, and eat that amount? Seems to work for every single person that does it. All the math is not needed. MFP does it for you. Only real trick: Log your food accurately as well as any exercise. That's all there is to it

Like kdeaux said: Body fat above 15% you're gonna have boobs... I'm at +/-11%, and boobies are gone- finally I sold my man-bra's on ebay to some fetish guy. And it may just be an optical illusion, but the penis seems to get longer as the moobs shrink.. just FYI

Muscle goes on slower than fat, and you may still be burning off some fat weight as you build lean mass. From what I have read: 1 - 2 lbs of lean mass per month is aggressive. So given you are not losing, you are probably pretty close to where you need to be. Measurements (size and body fat) might be better indicators at…

yes we are.. we just lie about that like everything else. And skin will firm up, slowly. How much will depend on genetics.
