I think what you are doing now (if at a small deficit) would give you the ability to recomp. The weight will come off much slower though. I opted to just dump the weight and then add. But if you maintain a health balance of food as you outlined at a small deficit and continue your training as outlined you are golden. Great…

Its is easy... There is some trial and error, but overall it is as simple as eat less than you burn. A lot of people simply cannot control the food they put in their mouth and are not willing to do the work needed to burn it off. Some people cant stop eating piles of sugar.. I believe some calories are better than others…

Bullpucky.... however, if you drop carbs which I did (especially eliminating most sugar crap) and watch fat intake, your protein will naturally be higher. If you are lifting weight intending on building muscle, experts recommended 1G Protein per 1LB of Lean Body Mass (some as much as 2G) But to lose weight, in my…

I continue logging in maintenance and keep a close eye on everything. If I didn't, things would go bad fast :)
-
+1 : You're diary is open now. You're not logging consistently, so you have no idea what your true intake is.

I work with a Wino, um, I mean a woman who loves her wine. Any suggestion of a Spritzer would get you a punch in the eye.. with that said: Yes, you can bank calories.. be reasonable. :) When I was in weight loss mode I would save up for Pizza once a week and my losses were linear over 5 months. (-68 lbs)

When I first started "getting in shape" I did a lot of walking, treadmill, elliptical.. and finally running. First my knees killed me then my hip, then knees, with hip (Add in an elbow and shoulder too).. but after about 6 months, everything got stronger and I have had no issues (pain) since. I suspect it was just my…

I don't look at # of posts, I look at lbs to go!! Lots of people with lots of posts, that ain't doing crap about their weight!

I started with 10K steps a day... It is a great way to start. This began on 6/15/14 so I am almost at one year. My avg steps per day: 13,400 Lbs lost: >50 Just getting started was the hardest part for me. Once I just did it, it was easy

I lost all my weight on 1800 - 1900 cal / day. I maintain on 2500 - 2600. So if all you can seem to feed yourself is 800-1000 and you don't lose weight there, I guess you are stuck. Sorry.

Substituting complex carbs is beneficial, but the rest has been outlined. I initially really cut my carbs and then realized I did not have to. I just try to make better carb choices. Whole wheat pasta and bread in limited quantities. I do not restrict vegetables - but I don't eat as many as I should.

At least they do it in a British accent. Headphones. I run outside and started when I was pretty big (read: FAT) I don't know if anyone ever yelled because I had music on really loud. Now I'm in much better shape and run much faster... Once I got a thumbs up... I think it was a thumb :hushed: So: headphones / Ignore, but…

Mine got a LOT smaller .. But I was OK with that!! Fat boobs are not nice! Especially if there is another set right under the first!!!

I did not start losing anything except my patience until I bought a $13 food scale at sears. They had the $9.99 version, but I wanted "the good one".. since then BAM.. weight is G O N E

If you set your activity level and goals in MFP, it will do all the calculations for you (day by day). I lost 66 lbs just using it that way.

18 months for terrific results is undoubtedly from hard work. Well done! Those that want the same butt: Hard Work :dizzy:

Goat Hoof is quite tasty actually, not as good as camel toe.. RIGHT!!?? ;)

Weights are great, but cardio is where you will see more rapid weight loss. To maintain muscle, both would be perferable and 5X5 is a great starting program CRAP, I'm not a gal.... ignore my post!!

Great job.. It took me longer than 9 weeks to get to that point. But its a great accomplishment. Next you will find you want to do it a little faster. :D It is addicting, and I H A T E running... but seem to find myself doing it almost every day Go figure.

I thought it said: My feet stunk.. sorry, please contiue. :hushed:

I did not eat any back for two reasons: 1. People tend to miss minor things in diary throughout the day. I wanted to account for any small misses 2. The exercise calories MPF gives back is higher than reality. By not eating calories back I lost 11 lbs per month for 6 months. No plateaus. LBM went from 168 to 160 (so losing…

Poshmark is another one. I think my daughter sold everything she owns there and then says: I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR!! LOL Mine went to goodwill and sent some junk to brother-in-law. That was more of me making a point: Here, try on these fat pants!!!

I went through this and found a couple of things helped: Drink LOTS of water. I usually go through a minimum of a gallon a day. I just pour a glass (or grab a bottle) and put it in from of me. 10 min later it is gone (repeat all day). I also found that if I timed/sized my meals better, there was less chance of a mishap. My…

Thank you for pointing this out!!!

I never in my wildest dream thought I would run - anywhere. I started just walking 10K step a day which meant a few trips around the neighborhood. I would see people running up the hill and thought: "WOW- Super Athletes".. Once I was down 50lbs, I got the C25K app and started doing it. It has you run / walk.. and it is…

You mention deli meat which is extremely high in Sodium. Sodium can contribute to water weight. When I cut Sodium down, a lot of good things happened. Also: Drink as much water as you can. It seems counter productive to drink water to negate water weight, but it does.

I think the point is: Why start now?

I don't think you get to pick the feedback you receive. I would agree with Chris, focus on the pregnancy, don't worry about weight until your baby is born, and then get to work!! :)
