I love spaghetti squash...love it even more this way. "skinny" it up any way you'd like or eat it this way and enjoy :) It's even better as leftovers with some sour cream on top. http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/spaghetti-squash-with-jalapeo-cream-10000001842378/

I just made these for the first time on Saturday....they were good!! I needed a good crock pot recipe because I was working and this one was perfect since it takes 9-10 hours on low...perfect for a work day. http://www.bhg.com/recipe/pork/balsamic-honey-pulled-pork-sliders/

Tri Turtle Tri on September 9. I really hope to get another event in this fall.

The final song on all my cardio workout mixes is Paradise City by GNR. Nearly 7 minutes of pushing hard to bring it home.

My dog is an awesome workout partner, too, and I feel very guilty when I leave her home from a run or hike. However, I have not started dedicating one run/week to just me because I find that I'm able to relax more and get lost in my run without her. Here is a picture of us hiking in Montana last summer. She's the best and…

Yeah, I don't think Seattle is over it. [/quote] Thanks for this Glucocorticoid!! This is awesome (in a hilarious way). Personally, I'm from Seattle and don't care that much about basketball, but this poll still cracked me up!

Agree with the above posters. 1st: rest and ice to make them subside. I just had to do this and it took a week is all. 2nd: go get fitted for the proper shoes for how you run. My shin splints came on from one 30 minute run in a pair of new shoes that were for overpronators and I'm a neutral running. I got a second new pair…

Like it! 5 pounds this month feels good since I think my last 10 would be a bit hard to accomplish this month. I weigh in on Monday mornings. It's in an attempt to keep me honest over the weekend, but really the strategy hasn't proven itself true :) SW 160 CW 149 GW (for June) 143 UTG: 140 Height 5'3"

This seemed like too much fun to pass up! How do I post a picture?

24 Hour Fitness in Olympia. Have been doing P90X at home so haven't been to the gym much, but that is coming to an end so I should be back to the gym soon.

I pulled this quinoa recipe off MFP earlier this year because I want to try quinoa and LOVE mac & cheese. I still haven't tried it, but hope to do so soon. Cooked two cups of dry quinoa with 3 cups of chicken broth. (If you're vegetarian, or don't have any, skip the broth, and just add water. Be sure to rise the lil guys…

48 sticks! Of course, I think I've also eaten 48 sticks of butter since last year when I started. There are just some things I won't give up. Just think of the results if I hadn't eaten back my sticks of butter. :)

I did Ragnar in Phoenix in February. It was awesome and you'll love it!! Best preparation is to know you can run your distances. Otherwise, expect the unexpected....you'll be eating food you would never normally eat while running, you'll sleep and not sleep when you least expect it and you'll learn more about your vanmates…

I hope you enjoy P90X! I'm on week 1 of phase 3, love it and can't wait to do it again. I haven't seen a lot of weight loss, but my clothes fit much better and after writing down all my reps and weights I can see marked improvements from phase 1 to phase 3. I didn't follow the diet plan. I can't imagine eating 10 oz of…

Chicken fajitas....can't wait! :)

This is a great idea...it's too easy to focus on the negative things instead. I'm going to try to institute this in my life on a daily basis. 1.) The little guy I babysit said he’s going to miss me when he has to move (a bit sad, too, really) 2.) I talked to my Dad 3.) I got in a workout when I typically would have gone…

Love, love, love spaghetti squash. I have had it in place of pasta under a shrimp stir fry, but my all-time favorite way to prepare it is as a casserole. Here's the link to the recipe and cooking directions: http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/spaghetti-squash-with-jalapeo-cream-10000001842378/ Hope you enjoy! :)

5'3" with a goal of 140...my body seems happy there. Unsure if I could maintain anything below 140. Highest was 160...not good.

I've made enchiladas this way before, too, and they are AMAZING! Such a good flavor and actually a bit easier to prepare. Hope you all enjoy them too! :)

I'm glad to hear you guys have done a lot of research before making this decision. I waited a year and a half after my first thought of a dog and finding the right one for me. You will know when it's the right one. :) In terms of the crate....I was opposed to crate training my dog at first because I grew up with outdoor…

There are few things better than frest salmon (of course, mine are of the Pacific variety, but all are great). I'm a strong believer in not "over-doing" salmon. I bake mine with a few slices of onion and lemon, fresh dill, salt & pepper to taste. As others have said either spray the pan with Pam, drizzle with olive oil or…

I'm sorry to hear about the findings on the MRI. I, too, herniated my L5-S1 disc (6 years ago) and will never forget the conversation with the doctor: Doctor: So what do you enjoy doing for exercise? Me: Running, soccer, mountain biking, lifting weights, etc. Doctor: Well, you should start to learn to enjoy walking and…

It can be hard cooking for only one. I typically will ask at the meat counter that they package my meat in individual serving sizes to that I can defrost only what I can eat in one meal. That being said an easy recipe that I do with seafood and whole wheat pasta... Shrimp (the size is up to you. I find about a 1/3 of a…
