  • hey - I complained too in the website forum. I'm pretty sure it's a regional ad so most users don't see it. I live in Galveston and it's an ad for Methodist Hospital (mostly located in Houston). The hospital is great, but the ad is extremely annoying and I agree, I do not know how much more I can put up with. I know this…
  • Finally got a chance to try it last night .....YUMMY
  • That's awesome Jennlos -- I have been feeling the same way since last night's Biggest Loser all I can think about is how hard they push and how sometimes I just go through the motions. I went to the gym this morning to a Step Sculpt class and pushed as hard as I could. There were alot of times I wanted to quit and a few…
  • Come on now, you can do it. I had to get my friends on facebook to harass me into going to the gym this morning so turnabout it fair play - GET UP AND GET IT OVER WITH!! you'll feel alot better about it -- i did :)
  • I love brown rice - but it's kinda funky if you cook it in a rice cooker... When I stick to the 10min boiling bag, it's yummy!
  • I love that show!! I agree with yal -- I'm sorry Damien had to go home, Joelle surely doesn't want to be there and was looking for the easy way out. Hopefully, having Carla (and her cans of Whoop-a**) live in person will keep Joelle moving. If not, someone may end up needing bail money, watch out! One can only hope that…
  • WoW!! 50pounds in two months - that's concentration and will power...WAY TO GO!!
  • FC has a great point - you can get them on and zip/button them :) That alone is two steps forward--
  • Another thing you could do that always makes me feel better is take your body measurements every so often - I try to take mine every two weeks, or at the first of the month. It makes me feel ALOT better when I can see I am losing inches - just the scale is not moving. and YES it will finally move .... don't give up!!
  • OOOHHHH, thanks for all the ideas... hope bananas are on sale tomorrow, now I have alot of things to try! Thanks everyone! Mommachag - thanks for the "slimy" heads up, I will keep that in mind...yuck
  • I just read this on Yahoo and had to share. i will be buying banas tomorrow to try this out! The article was "How to Overcome 10 Big Bad Habits" Ice Cream was #4 -- There are certain situations that require ice cream. A bad break-up. Slumber parties. Pregnancy food binges. Otherwise, try this instead: Freeze an unpeeled…
  • WoW! AJCM - that is awesome!!
  • I vote for power bars too. I try to always keep at least one in my purse at all times for just in case I get delayed in getting home, etc. But be careful, some of them have a ton of sugar - I've been buying Pure Protein bars which are on the lower end of the sugar wagon. Peanuts are great too, but I really have to watch my…
  • me too! I could use something new and I do love to watch the show when I can remember it's on...
  • 426 with 2 left feet! Wow, imagine how you'll burn when you get it down. Keep with it, practice works! (Ask anybody in my step class...LOL)
  • Thanks for much for posting this question and for all the replies - it happens to me too! I was really too embarassed to ask at the gym, thought I was a freak for sure!
  • LOL.... I wanted to use the higher one too :( but then I remembered I can't fit into any of my clothes and I was only cheating myself....dang it It really bugs me too, because I am on beta blockers and sometimes I worry about working out too hard (since someone's post about blood flow on beta blockers) but at the same time…
  • WoW! Those are awesome, great job! I think I will have to steal your idea too! Thanks for the encouragement!
  • Hey Weese, Ok, so you know that if you don't eat enough your body will begin to store, only you can judge if you are eating enough. Lean muscle does require more calories. Take a deep breath and review the numbers again, then do what you know you should do. Second, I would try a different cardio, maybe just walk (run?) on…
  • Way to go!!

  • Shorerider is absolutely right on the money, talk to your father's doctor. I'l bet that he/she has a meal plan that he could fax or mail to you. Diabetes can be such a complicated disease. I hope he gets to feeling better and gains some weight soon!
  • Very cool! Glad you enjoyed it and are going again this week. You are my personal hero to go to 5:45am classes for anything!!
  • hahaha!! That's the funniest thing I have ever heard!! Thanks for the laugh!! Hey, we all get into the funk, but please pull out some old pictures, pull out the biggest pair of pants you ever wore, put them on and CELEBRATE how far you have come!! Do not let the temporary funk get you down, this too shall pass.…
  • Congrats!! Thanks for sharing your joy with us!!
  • There seems to be a running argument about that in my gym too. But I trained years ago with professional world class body builders, (I worked for a supplement company and they had many bodybuilder professionals on staff, including several Mr, and Mrs. Olympias, who would work with me for free, which makes me ponder why…
