  • That is truly inspirational. Congrats to you!
  • You might want to keep lower calorie treats around. For instance, I like some of the organic pizzas...and they are only 900 calories for an entire pizza. That way, you don't feel deprived.
  • Wow - very inspiring! Not only do you look fit, but you look about 10 years younger. Thanks for sharing.
  • I understand what Heather (the OP) is saying about the bloat ... I too, have trouble eating all the calories you are supposed to. I've made an effort to do so today and it is literally making me sick to my stomach; plus the bloat is so bad I have to unbutton my jeans. Not sure how to get rid of this problem other than lots…
  • I get the stomach bloat, too. It is extremely frustrating and I have not found an answer yet.
  • I totally get what you are saying OP and almost did the same thing. Give it a few days at the 1500 and similar burn level and you might see a few pounds come off all at once.

  • Popcorn, especially the "Smart Food" white cheddar!

  • Just now getting active here -- it's a lot more fun than jotting diet/exercise stuff in a notebook. Very new here so looking for friends, mostly for mutual motivation.
  • Like you, I will be traveling soon, too -- but for two weeks! Am staying in hotels with gyms if available, and have lunch "boxes" from GoPicnic because every box has a label describing all the calories/nutrients so calories are easily tracked. Kosher and vegan versions of the GoPicnic meals are available, but what makes…
  • To my surprise, I have something called hyperparathyroidism, which creates huge levels of calcium in the blood. One of the symptoms is depression -- so you might want to ask your doctor about blood tests to see if anything biological is contributing to the depression. As a lot of folks have written here, exercise…
  • My doctor told me to take Red Yeast Rice to help with cholesterol. Maybe that can help your husband.
