Some PB and a banana inside a whole wheat tortilla. Add a couple of chocolate chips/sprinkles for extra sweetness, if you want.

My new dentist takes pictures of my teeth with a little camera inside my mouth so I can really see their sad state of decay in a way I never have before. These pictures are quite motivating for me to stay away from sugary and acidic things (although you'd never know it by reading my food diary....).

This is like telling someone over the phone that they've done a great job buttoning their sweater. You actually have no idea what you're praising... Did they even eat more than a banana? Are they even wearing a sweater?

This. It's what I expect from the people I add as friends and what they can expect from me.

I've looked up my exes because I want to know what they're up to and how they and their families are. They were really important to me in the past, so I think it's natural that they still cross my mind sometimes. (Plus, I don't mind if the one that was a **** to me sees my picture and notices I've lost weight and am happy…

I have an FT4 and it's not rare that it gives me obviously inaccurate readings (either 0 or in the 200's). I wash it according to the instructions on the website (it's better since I started going that after EACH workout) and it's tight and I keep re-wetting the sensors... I wrote an email to the Polar Guy but didn't get a…

I "lost" 2.5 pounds over the course of a 1.5 hour nap a few days ago. Weight can fluctuate a lot, which is why it's often recommended to look for a general trend rather than pay that much attention to each specific weigh-in.

Yes, but you wouldn't because you wouldn't be able to afford the gym membership or the healthy ingredients. But you could get your exercise by begging and trying to outrun the law after unsuccessful pickpocketing attempts.

Maybe take a week or so just to get into the habit of logging, and then focus on what changes you want to make to what you're eating. Good luck.

Chicken stir-fry...just some chicken and lots of veggies. Mine is about 1.5 generous cups for around 200 calories. Then just save the leftovers to eat with rice on a not-ridiculously-low-calorie day.

My FT4 often shows either 00 or 222 for my HR. It's still pretty new, tightened, wet, etc. Frustrates the hell out of me because sometimes I am so focused on trying different things with the strap and watch that my workout suffers. On the polar website in the troubleshooting section, there's a video of how to wash the…

Audiobooks or interesting podcasts... I can't listen to them if I'm doing intervals but for steady running, they keep me good company.

This just really reminds me of those jelly bracelets I used to love. Where are they now?

G.I. Joe has always said that knowing is half the battle. My WW leader kind of extended that last night when she said, "Knowing your biggest downfall can be your biggest uplift." For me this is so true because in order to effectively solve a problem, you generally need to attack its root, not just the manifestations. In…

"Honey, I was just reading some posts on MFP and it looks like you can actually eat more than just one meal! All these people who have lost a lot of weight say that they did it just by paying attention to portion sizes, but still ate meals and snacks. But whatever works, I'm just so glad that we can get healthier…

I've struggled with this in the past. For me, it became a habit and I did it off-and-on for years. I was able to eventually break it, though, thankfully. Here are a few ideas: Make sure to eat something a little bit before you go to bed so there's no way you'll be able to tell yourself that you're hungry during the night.…

If you google "Greek restaurant nutrition" you'll get a few helpful sites. Obviously, nothing will be exact, but it will give you some ideas of healthier versus less healthy options. Enjoy your meal!

WW gave me the tools that I needed to start losing weight and to transition to a healthier lifestyle. The meetings proved invaluable to me in the beginning and I still benefit from them now. It's not perfect program, but it's not fair or accurate to say that it simply doesn't work.

Different people have different priorities. Usually that's because of different life experiences. Why are you judging her so much--and then complaining to strangers? If you're concerned about her, tell *her.* (But you'd probably just come across as judgmental and condescending...which is how you're coming across to me…

Take a bath...it's a twofer because it gets you away from the kitchen AND you'll be forced to look at your naked body.

My husband lost about 125 pounds. At the beginning (months, at least) of his journey, his weight could fluctuate as much as like 8 pounds in a day. You might want to live less by the scale and more by how you're feeling. A lot of weight loss programs suggest weighing in only once a week. A change you make today--or a…

Nope. After I lost about 30 pounds, I started being cold all the time, especially my feet.

If the HRM seemed to be displaying an accurate HR for you during your workout, I'd say its calorie reading is probably right. (Sometimes my HRM goes a little crazy and tells me my HR is 222 while I'm working out and so it tells me I burned a gazillion calories. Just something to be aware of.)
-
Nuts.... But mostly I wanted to bump to read the ideas as they come (and hopefully they will).

It sounds like they might be scared of losing you (emotionally) because your lifestyle is becoming increasingly different from theirs and you have less in common with them than you used to. If you want to try to convince them (which may just be a waste of time), you can show them BMI charts that "prove" you're not…

I definitely get what you're saying here. It's a good feeling--congratulations!

Just pretend the D is for "dude"....

I have not put any sort of dressing on my salad for about six years now, and I will often skip salad at someone else's house rather than eat their already-dressed ones. It started because I had decided dressings weren't worth the calories and then when I realized that vinaigrette (one of the few kinds of dressing I like…

But they're also really high in delciousness, so eat a few extra.

I love the expression "new to the zoo" and am going to try to work that into a conversation soon. Like maybe next time I have one. Hopefully the rest of the replies to your post will be more helpful than this one.
