Wow some of you guys are so close to the 10lbs! "I stay with 1300 no matter if I worked out or not" That is a stupid thing to do. Say you burn 600 calories in exercise - this means your net calories would be 700. THAT IS NOT HEALTHY. Not eating enough will not help you lose weight any faster than eating right.

Perhaps it is the whole *teenager* phase, where you are trying to get her to do one thing, and she is doing the opposite instead. if she's eating constantly it maybe due to boredom or comfort eating. Do you sit down to have meals together? lunch? dinner? etc

I use mine when I exercise, and it generally helps with knowing how many calories you burn. Im nog sure that it would make much difference to maintaing weight loss as you have done well already without one, some times I find it helps me work out harder as Im more conscious of how many calories Im actually burning

Wow id love to be on 1400 calories! i really struggle with my 1200 so I HAVE to exercise everyday just so I can eat. I doubt you will go into starvation mode to be honest as it would need to be a real minimum of calories (under 1000) and over an extended period of time.

I dont think you will lose 3lbs pounds of fat, it may be just 1lb and the rest water weight/"toxin" there is another thread about fasting (which they have only raw fruit and veg but blend it) and they are losing like a pound every day....
