Ok, maybe not this... but at the very least, you are a member. It doesn't matter that you didn't pay for it out of your wallet, you worked for it at your employer, it's part of your compensation, and your employer in some way paid or offered something of value in return to the gym ownership. There. No more excuses. Speak…

It isn't hard to find many 30, 60 or 90 day programs that use the principle of muscle confusion. Your body will absolutely adapt to the the routine if all you do is cardio, and if it has been in the habit of conserving energy as fat, it will find a way to start doing that again if you let it.

LOL, I run numbers too, thank you for not letting me be the only one who looked that closely into OP's diary. I agree, your habits show someone who doesn't fall so far off that you can't make up for it. I think your Quest bars will probably help. For my sweet tooth, the coffee or tea with stevia keeps it off my mind, and I…

OP, from the very quick glance at your diary, you're more likely someone I'd take advice from than give advice to. That said, I agree with the approach of adding more fat. I was plateaued (said the scale) for weeks which was annoying since I was on day 60-something of a 90 day program and kicking its a*. But I'm also…

If you have a timer for lamps or Xmas lights, you could get some extra use out of it and plug your slow cooker into that. I've done that with my rice steamer. I lost my super awesome programmable a while back and actually replaced it with a very decent (and cheap!) one from Goodwill. I use it a lot and my fairly picky 11yo…

I just sent you a group invite, I think this time it worked. If not, try this, go to the Community tab > select Groups, then in the 'Find A Group' field, type or paste 'Team Supreme - S90' and it should appear in your search. :drinker: Cheers!

Well hi, I sent a couple of invites to join a group, 'Team Supreme - S90'. If you didn't receive it, try searching and add yourself if you're interested. I logged my first 30 days but the group was somewhat dormant. Nice if we could get it going again for motivation :flowerforyou: Oh, and I'm about to do day 47, Tabata…

First thought, can I make it my goal to also be called 'freakishly strong'? Um, yes. Just did. Hello and well done!

Asked and answered. And answered again, some make me cringe and some lift me up. Thanks for posting this question because it reminds me not to be too attached to etiquette (because people aren't), but to consider the source of the negativity. I'm also one of the blogosphere lurkers, I'd hate it if people I read but don't…

Oh I bought my first road bike, yes I did. Big victory in finding the confidence that tells me I'll stick with it. Looking forward to some cycling adventures ahead :)

The best success stories always leave room for a sequel. Yours will be epic! I think I'll come back and reread this post anytime I need some inspiration.

Ok not technically Oregonian, but I workout at the 205 and Hollywood 24hr pretty frequently. I'm in Vancouver :)

I'm 5' 0" too. I started logging on MFP at 162 lbs a couple months ago, and have been losing at about a pound a week. I am exercising daily, and like you my initial goal was also 140. But I am happier and more confident than expected with the progress, so to challenge myself I set my goal to 120. I don't expect to reach it…

I'm right there with you! I have my first Spartan tomorrow and I'm like, what should I eat? ...why do I need a rest day again? Lol, I did Warrior Dash last year, this is slightly longer, just a 4-mile sprint and different obstacles. I'm happy to take it outside the gym and away from DVD workouts at home for a change. I…

One of your posts came up in my search for "warrior dash" and wow, this hits home. I have a Warrior Dash next month in Oregon and a Spartan in 4 days. So first let me say you sound injured but not defeated. I hope I'm someone who turns to forums to find a gym work around if ever I'm sidelined. In a cast. With metal parts…

I wouldn't say unrealistic, considering the drastic changes people make every day once they find their path. But do what you must to make it realistic - what is your time frame? Have you found a program that works for you? I'd say we have a very similar long term goal. I know that 140 from 165 is attainable, but 1) I don't…

Spartan Pac West Sprint in Washington on August 2, and Warrior Dash in Oregon on September 6, 2014!
