ok, i see your point. but... you need to look at the numbers. if i am in a 5600 calorie defecit for the week , and i eat an extra 500 calories one day, because i feel like enjoying myself and dont plan on denying myself everything every day for the rest of my life... i still have a 5000 calorie defecit. i am still doing…

watch your knees. i was running then started doing a class with a lot of squats and all that pressure on my knees at my weight... i couldnt run for a month because my knees got ruined, and i still cant squat, lunge, or climb a lot of stairs without pain after two months. what i am saying is... the combo was too much for…

i do not agree. i eat so much less, i spend the same as i did before i just buy BETTER stuff now. since i dont have to buy chips, pop, pastries, frozen meals, fast food, etc as much as i used to... i can fill my fridge with fresh produce, good cheese, lean meats, greek yogurt, shrimp, fish etc. and i spend the same amount…

the only thing wrong with a burger is the density of calories... hold the bun and you have a reasonable amount of calories and a ton of protein. although when i say that i dont mean fast food burgers. home made is better in a sense that you can control the level of healthy, but for weight loss, the calories are what matter…

just checking back in because now i am no longer a microwave but a human brain and an elephant heart.

i did find the suggestion to double the calories a bit of hyperbole. that is pretty extreme, a heaping spoon does not a whole bowl make.although well intentioned the post in itself may be misleading.

i say eat out of the carton over the sink. wait no. a plate is good.

hmmmm... i am ok with chipotle, last time i went there i didnt weigh but entered each ingredient of the burrito bowl individually. it came to around 750 but i didnt finish the whole thing so spent 600. i have been doing this long enough to know what a half cup looks like. i am not a huge chipotle fan but if i go back…

there is no such thing as a perfect body. and its subjective anyway. you wont bulk up doing cardio or strength training unless you do it in abundance... extremes... the first key to a perfect body is realizing that a perfect body isnt a reasonable goal. then do what makes you happy. i do both strength and cardio but i…

i think more often than not i see posts about a FEAR of ridicule at the gym. or the perceived interpretation of a look someone gave them... and mostly i think it is projection of ones own insecurities. never have i been to a gym where anyone talks crap. i am sure there exists people who do talk crap, but for the most part…

the flab that hangs out the sides of my sports bra now that loose skin is an issue. how said flab looks when i run, and how i look in general in that GIANT wall of mirror during yoga class. i hate when stores put things on sale, but they didnt really put them on sale. for example. fred meyer does this all the time.…

you could do what i do and buy them, then forget about them in the fridge, every single time, until they are mushy and then throw them away. no but seriously, i dont much care for those giant honking eggplants thus always never getting around to using them on time. but i highly suggest japanese or indian eggplant or any of…

lucky for you, you dont have to exersize if you dont want to. or stop thinking about food. :) you can love food and eat what you want just track it and eat less of it. plan ahead for big meals, and so on. you are at the right place and can make it work for you. :)

i avoid it because not obly does the drink use up all my calories (when i drink i DRINK, i dont mess around) then once i am drunk i eat everything in sight. so i save it for special occasions.

dont worry about scale changes. you do not have one single weight. you have a weight range that ill go up and down daily. your goal is to get that weight range down, not one single number on the scale. dont even trip. or weigh daily for a couple weeks and you will see what i mean.

honestly.... i have never been fit in my life so i cant really compare it to anything except how bad it felt to be NOT fit. considering that last year i got winded walking up our single flight of stairs to bed, and i couldnt walk more than 6 blocks before my back started killing me, and i had to find special shoes so the…

i am a daily person. i find that if i understand the fluctuations that happen every day, by seeing them, i am less likely to get discouraged. i can also get a better idea of what is real and what is a fluctuation. i find that most of the time, for me, my lowest point stays the same to the exact oz, most of the time, until…
