sometimes i wish people would give me advice. but only good advice. but even if they did i would probably get defensive first and then end up following it after i thought about it. but only the good advice.

you should know what is enough for you, if you listen to your body. my rule of thumb is make a schedule, but listen to the cues your body gives you. and if you are working out that much eat enough to make up for it. dont let it create an unhealthy defecit. personally i do two rest days one mid week and one weekend. (or…

i like having a diet buddy a lot, or diet buddies plural. people i can talk about nutrition with and go to restaurants knowing we will both order light and maybe walk and such. fitness though... i like having people to talk to but when it comes to doing, unless it i fitness disguised as fun like biking hiking walking…

i tend to not bake boneless skinless breasts. i either cook them on the stove or braise them. the oven is a dry heat and you have to be so precise... i agree with others about the searing though. if you must, sear first. also consider bone in skin on, then remove the skin after cooking. the calories may be higher but not…

why does everyone have to talk about revenge and stupidity? doesnt everyone have a right to choose who they want to be with? in my experience hate and revenge never made me feel better after a breakup.

i disagree. i dont think of the term "skinny" as complimentary at all. i never use it myself as to me the implications of it are negative... as in emaciated... all skin and bones... unhealthy. i have never looked at the word skinny as a compliment. even without the b word it is a term that implies less about health and…

unless you are french, then crayon just means pencil.

i wish my husband would dump me... look at it this way... i may be cynical... better now than later when you realize you cant stand him but you are too entwined to make a clean break. ok yea im cynical. but seriously... if he hadnt, you probably would have figured out why you werent meant to be eventually and the outcome…

you know. i can relate to too hot to work out. when it 101 degrees outside and the gym is not really that air conditioned i will be like... no, we are walking to the water park instead. but cold? i am stuck in my houe all day in the winter i would LOVE to go to the gym, run for an hour, and then tep outside in the frigid…

one of my worst enemies in the past was all or nothing mentality. one of the things that has helped me succeed this time to a large extent has been letting go of all or nothing. and when i am tired of it intead of saying "you know what, i dont care anymore i am gonna do what i want" i say... i can take a little break from…

my husband is on the road 80% of each month. being on my own is the easiest time to follow a plan... i pretty much live on delicious sandwiches and random other stuff. i mean.. you CAN cook, if you want..

dinner = all but the gravy and velveeta casserole (yuck!). and i would probably personally pick the crescent rolls or skip the bread. for dessert i would have ice cream. mostly personal preference though... when there is a holiday party i try to work out or walk a lot that day and then eat what i want within reason.

even playing in the forums all day doesnt hurt your weight loss... in fact it can keep you motivated. i have a lifestyle where i sit on the computer a LOT. but then i get up and take 10,000 or so steps a day or go to the gym and run 5k or lift weights... i can sit a lot and still burn a lot of calories.... and not eat too…

this is yes what i meant. i like to think of it this way. if i wouldnt say something about a random strangers looks... like if a larger person walked past me and a friend... i wouldnt turn to my friend and say what a fat cow. because it would be rude. and i dont talk about people like that. and if my friend has extra…

nope. you didnt get it right.

people who care what other people at the gym are doing and judge their level of activity.... or how they choose to stay amused enough to finish. i seem to remember when i started all i could do was light cardio and light weights. and when i was injured i showed up anyway, and did whatever i could without hurting myself…

i dont think its gross when people do or dont. but i look better when i do, in my opinion. that said, until i started going to the gym and therefor still wearing shorts in winter, i tended to never shave my legs after september until april or so. i cant stand how they leg hairs get pulled by socks or leggings though.

that the thing though. you should. i mean if you are talking to someone, you hould consider how your words would affect them. i mean if you give a crap about them. i am not saying you should care about everyone in the universe all the time. but if you are talking to someone, and something you are saying would be indirectly…

i guess i assumed that was a grammar thing because of all the grammar mistakes in the op, and that they meant eating.

its only a day. it sounds like a fun one too that was totally worth it. forget about it because tomorrow is yet another day. also i came to this thread to say i think splurge is one of the two ugliest words in english. splurge and purple. i also dont like plunge. i apparently dont like pl words epecially if they have a g…

oh yea, the 1000 calories thing. ADD a peanut butter and banana sandwich on TOP of your 1000 calories and you are golden. 1000 is not enough.
-
hmmmm peanut butter and banana sandwiches are no better for losing weight than ice cream or broccoli. if i were me i would eat them before a workout but again... not because it would help me lose weight but maybe because that was what i felt like eating that day, and i usually eat sandwiches for lunch and then go to the…

ewwww i hate applesauce in cookies. personally, based on the recipe i do not think applesauce would help your cause... its too wet and not as protein filled as a banana so you would brobably end up with a mush pile or a hockey puck. egg whites work for coconut macaroons so they are probably a better bet. if you dont use…

but... those women may have never had to decide to not act on those cravings, because they didnt have goals to meet. just because they have had cravings or water weight before doesnt mean they have had to learn to supress them or accept them or whatever. most of my life a craving meant i had to go to the grocery store.

i also hate when people ask me if i have tried this or that pill or shake or miracle mumbo jumbo and then start going on and on about how someone told them it worked on someone else or dr oz liked it or something then finally i get a word in edgewise and say "no, none of that i just eat less, track it and work out" and…

i hate when other people see my success as a personal attack on their perceived failures. suddenly people become a broken record... like i cant even hang out anymore because every time we do we have the same conversation "i need to lose weight like you, i should do it with you" "great, let me show you this app and if you…

the only thing i make in a crock pot is what i would already make in a stew pot the same way... it just takes longer in the crock pot and i dont have to stir it. if i wouldnt already slow cook it on the stove top i dont try to cook it in the crock pot. therefore i found after using it a number of times that it really made…
