I can say that on days I don't plan my typical workouts, the lack of endorphin's, coupled with my already low testosterone does result in increased depression, which also can lead to self-medication by means of binging or at least over-eating binge foods & especially carbs. I think you are on to something.

I was prescribed prozac for bulimia, severe anxiety & depression. Prozac does have some side effects. I cant say it helped with the restrict - binge - purge cycle, but it did help with anxiety. My binging didnt stop until I quit restricting.

Are you wearing the right shoes based upon arch and pronation? 3 things that have helped me: 1 - Rolling foot on frozen ice bottle, 2 - The Stair Step lowering heels stretch, and 3 - I have seen a PT who aggressively massages the arch and heel. She also taped me differently than I have been taped before which also helped.

Thanks for feedback, very helpful. I understand now. Because I run in the evening, and the miles and intensity varies, I am going to have a TDEE recalculated based on higher degree of activity. ANd that way it averages out over the week. Thanks!
