I get up at 6 am and usually eat breakfast before leaving for work. I will normally eat 1 cup of plain oatmeal, or mix 1 scoop of protein powder with 1/2 cup oatmeal. By 10 am, I am usually hungry. But I will eat 100 calorie snack of raw veggies at that time. So perhaps it isnt uncommon to be hungry by 10?

I had a similar incident earlier this year. My wife stepped in, in the middle of an ice cream binge. My 1st emotional response was to act like a child with a tantrum. But she saved me from a total meltdown. And afterwards, I was very grateful.

I imagine you will get a few snarky comments given the use of the word tricks. Two strategies I employed: 1. Changed diet to incorporate more veggies. Eventually my preferences changed and cold raw veggies have become my go to snacks. Thus, ingesting fewer calories. Mix it up so you dont get bored with the same veggies. 2.…

Thanks for the encouragement. The anger worked. Under 1850 calories for the day, logged everything, ran 9 miles, and locked up binge food so there will be no relapse tonight. Don't give up! 2 straight nights I havent locked up food, and I got up and ate. Struggling. Heck, I cant even remember what all I ate.
