Load up on veggies & fruit. Stay away from things you know are loaded in calories. Get lots of exercise - a lot of those ships have an exercise room, etc. And Have Fun! :)

The first couple days are definitely the hardest, and you'll probably be sore too. But stick with it! Your end results are sooo worth it! You'll do great. :)

I'm 5'6", and at 165 I'm fitting comfortably into 12's.

I really like this post, and I think it's true. I was in one of those relationships at one point. The only thing I'd like to point out is that some truly nice guys don't fall into this category. Some actually are confident in themselves, but those just aren't the ones who end up in situations like this article describes.…

I didn't lose extra weight, but definitely tightened up. Stick with it! :) Although the results aren't only from 30DS, you can see a before/after pic here: http://photos.myfitnesspalllc.netdna-cdn.com/images/photos/862/236/6862236_7823.jpg

Try a sugar substitute if you cook/bake for yourself. (Truvia/Stevia) And watch out for drinks with a lot of sugar - tea, soda, even fruit juices.
-
Chocolate! :) Of course! But really, I don't feel that I've had to completely "give up" anything. I just have to plan for those high-cal foods/drinks a little better. :)

I had the same problem - my calves burned like crazy! Try stretching them well before you start the workout.

Have you done comparison pics? Seeing the changes side by side can be pretty convincing. :) And I'm sure you'll see the changes if you've lost 100lbs - that's awesome! :D

That's awesome! :)

Keep going! You'll be much less sore after a few days. :)

As others said, sprains don't completely heal, and your ankle gets weaker each time it happens. I got several sprains playing sports through high school/college. Now I wear ankle braces EVERY time I play sports to prevent any more injuries. I use Active Ankles & they're wonderful. :)

Sometimes if your skin gets dried out too much, it will break out. Try using a moisturizer after cleansing. I use Mary Kay brand cleanser & moisturizer, and it seems to work really well.

I started out with 6 lb weights, and it killed me. I had to modify the Level 1 exercises to use just one weight with both hands. Finally, I just bought a set of 3-pounders, which seems to be a good fit for me personally. I don't think you could modify the Level 2 & 3 exercises to use a single weight...

I've heard other swear by cutting back on sugar. I noticed the most difference personally when I started doing core/ab exercises with the 30 Day Shred. Another idea - If you're already walking for exercise, maybe add steps as part of it to add some resistance.

Pancreatic cancer is a horrible disease. My sister-in-law just lost her mom to it. It's really important for you to support him and the family as much as possible during this time. Encourage your boyfriend to take care of himself so that he can be a comfort to his mom. She doesn't have much time left, it's a terrible…

You can enter it under My Meals or Recipes in the food tab in MFP. Adding a recipe allows you to add all the ingredients & save it, then you can add it to your diary.

My target is 1270 net & my diary is public if you want to look...generally I try to shoot for around 300/500/500 & work in some type of exercise. If I have extra cals, those go to small snacks. I also drink mostly water, with the exception of milk w/ breakfast.
-
There's about 1-2 min of warm-up at the beginning and the same at the end. You should definitely do some extra stretching before you start though....calves were my biggest problem - in the middle of the workout, I had to stop & stretch because they were burning so bad!

Yep, same here. I think I gained about 25 lbs in 2 years after getting married (that doesn't include what I gained when we were dating/engaged!) It's still hard to make myself eat different portions than him. One thing I do that helps when I make dinner at home is to keep a separate portion back to have as lunch the next…

under 100 cal granola bars ... they're high in sugar, though.
-
Possibly eating too many cals/not enough...?

The first few days are the hardest, but stick with it & it gets better. I'm on day 8, and I can definitely tell a difference in the tone of my muscles, especially my arms & calves. Make sure you have some light hand weights to use with it... I wouldn't suggest anything over 5lb.
-
That's great! It's so nice when they notice. :)

Keep the goodies in a cupboard or pantry....out of sight, out of mind! Or decide what you want for a snack BEFORE you go into the kitchen - less chance of just opening the cupboard/fridge door & picking whatever jumps out at you. :)
-
Example: Today for lunch I had a 6" Orchard chicken salad on wheat with provolone cheese & lettuce. (That is a reasonably "healthy" choice from their menu.) Grand total: 630 calories. That is half my daily limit in ONE sandwich!!!

Same problem here. Yesterday was Day 2 for me, and this morning the scale said I was up 5lbs. Based on what others have said, it's normal, and I'm just going to stick it out. A jump like that does make it a little hard not to freak out though!!

Chocolate candy and baked goods. Mmmm. I rarely have any now... :(
-
I usually just count 1 tbsp for each piece of meat. Seems like a decent estimation...
