Probably should do one or the other. Increasing both speed & distance concurrently is a sure fire way to let injuries creep in unless you have a very good base of miles from which to work from. Best of luck in both endeavors! :wink:

I love to run in the rain! I know the people in their cars are wishing they were having as much fun as me running in the rain but it's much easier to stay warm & dry & doing nothing.:laugh:

can't go wrong with Polar. Several models to chose from. The models with chest strap are the most accurate. FT4 on up to FT80 there's one to fit your needs nicely.

Running in the rain is awesome! Everything smells so fresh & clean :happy: Even in down pours it's fun! You would need a Light weight well vented water proof or Water resistant shell, light layers underneath. A nice waterproof cap is a good idea too. I usually wear UA tights when I run & am not concerned too much with legs…

There are quite a few goods one out there & Free to boot! There's CardioTrainer(really good!) IMapMyRun, EndoMondo, RunKeeper And actually they are all pretty good & pretty simiar. Working indoors however is Sketchy at best. The phones GPS has to have clear view of the sky to pick up the satellites otherwise it won't be…

I have purchased my running shoes online many times but I did get fitted & analyzed at a Runners shoes store. They will provide all the info you need to get properly fitted to a shoe that suits your running style. Once you know the info, Online is fair game & you can get really nice prices on top brand shoes. Good luck!
