Do both but do your weights (heavy weights) before doing cardio. I have been at a plateau since august but have lost inches. I'm pretty sure it's due to the increase in muscle..Good Luck!
-
Sure is nice to read that...the scale hasn't moved since August for me..BUT..I had measured myself and I am losing inches...In fact todays weigh in was a gain. I also go by how my clothes fit. ...Thanks for hope..Good job!!

I do a core exercise called the vacuum . And what you do is exhale all your air and then tighten up your core and hold your breath..hold for 10 to as long as you can 2 - 5 times or more a day..it really does a great job for your core and on your abs...Good Job!
-
Google Dustin Maher..Fit Moms For Life..great weight training video. Also works on core and cardio.. All you need is a few weights from 5 - 20 pounds to start and a stayball. Good Luck!
-
I've been at a plateau for over 11 weeks...very frustrating. Glad I measured myself tho..because I've continued to lose inches. Stick with it..this to shall pass...I HOPE!! Good Luck! \

I prefer Lifting and strength training to cardio. My 21 year old son had his 40 pound dumbbell out the other day and was being a smart @$$ and said "Gee Mom...betcha can't do 5!" I did 5 bicep curls with 40 pounds (single arm)..I surprised myself. But usually start curls with 5s then 8s, 10s, and finish with 20. I love the…

Are you using a HRM?? because that seems like a big burn for the amount of time exercising..Just curious. I prefer strength and weight training over cardio. But my burn is never that high an hour..might want to check on that.

I don't smoke and I STILL read every comment...wow...
-
google Dustin Maher...he does an exercise called the vacuum... you can do it sitting, standing, laying or walking...exhale all of the air from your lungs then pull in your stomach and hold for about 15 to 30 seconds..do this as often as you want or can. Tightens up the muscles wonderfully. Also try planks. Good Luck!

Weights for 25 minutes (HRM 175 burn) walked 4 miles in under 30 degree weather with my dog (HRM 300 burn)

Make sure you measure yourself and take pictures..I've been at a plateau for 11 weeks but I'm losing inches. And 1 pound per week is the best way to go. Good Luck and don't give up! Weight training is going to help...do that Before cardio, and not just little weights, push your self.
