  • I work as a server at a restaurant, and I have no problem dealing with slight modifications like that. However, if you find yourself rattling off a list of modifications, you might want to just order something different or ask your server about popular choices for "light" menu options. Also, don't forget to take care of…
  • Salmon! I ate a whole lot of salmon (and still do...) through my first few weeks of p90x. It's super high in protein, and it's pretty good for calories, too.
  • PRO bars are pretty good for you. They still average in the upper teens for grams of sugar, but it's a few less than clif bars. I think they taste better, too.

  • I've got one too. Polar FT7 FTW!
  • I picked up the FT7 at a local sporting goods store for around 90 bucks and I love it. I think you'll definitely be happy with whichever one you choose.

  • Also, I have an app on my phone that helps me to drink 16 cups of water per day. That helps me to stay full/get enough water.

  • I'm the same- I tend to go over on sodium a lot. One thing I do to stay low for breakfast which is high protein, high fiber, and low sodium is a bowl of Kashi Crunch with 1/2 cup of skim milk: 233 cals, 3g fat, 13g protein, and only 164mg sodium. Keeps me full for a long time. A box of Kashi Crunch lasts me about 10 days…

  • Hey, welcome to MFP! I looked over your diary, and it seems like you're pretty high on daily sugar and fat intake, and pretty low on fiber. I'm in no way a health professional or anything, but that jumps out to me. One thing that helped me lose weight is to make a big step in upping my fiber intake- LOTS of fruits and…
  • It's already been linked to in this conversation, but this is an incredibly insightful article on water and just exactly what it's used for, and why the body needs it. I would highly recommend reading it. http://www.experiencelifemag.com/issues/june-2010/health-wellness/drink-to-your-health.html Sugar substitutes,…
  • ^^^^^^Yeah, she said it first. But what she said.
  • I would take ALMOST all of your larger clothing items to a thrift/charity shop, but I would keep your biggest item of clothing. I made the mistake of doing the same thing with my skinny clothes a week before I joined MFP, and now I regret it, but I never thought I'd fit in them again. Oh well, it just made me more stoked…
  • NSV=Non Scale Victory. No worries, I had no idea what it was when I joined.
